youngest turns 21 next month and is set on swapping his c4 for a rcz, ins not an issue but a dilemma on spec - he's been out in a 200bhp manual petrol £11.5k and this morning we both went out in a 156 auto petrol with sat nav elec set etc etc 34k miles £9.5k-- miles to be no more than 40k budget is 10k absolute max he's now stuck on deciding if he wants a 200 or 156 auto - i've not been out in a 200 bhp so Q:
1. in real terms is a 200 that much quicker bearing in mind 70 mph is the limit so its overtaking ability
2. 6 speed auto was good - I wonder if he'd get fed up not having a real manual

thoughts?

The 200hp is quick, I found it noticeably faster than the auto. The gear ratios have a bit to do with that as I felt they where different.

On back roads not paying attention, it's pretty easy to not realise your doing 140kph+

I initially test drove a 156 and was super impressed when I eventually bought a 200. The difference is very noticeable on acceleration.

I have not been in an auto RCZ, but I have driven many other autos. I couldn't live with an auto, maybe when I get older & cant be bothered changing gear anymore (I'm nearly 60 now :D )
