Hi,

had a issue this morning in all the fog I had my lights on Auto but they did not come on, apart from the daytime running lights is that normal ? what conditions should the lights come on ? I got shouted at and turned them on manually lol but was surprised they did not come on ?

also still having issues with crackle when streaming music from my S4 Samsung ? sounds awful. :helpme: :helpme:

The auto lights work via a light sensor. In foggy weather the visibility may be bad but it can still be quite light. The fog lights are not auto so you need to switch them on and off manually.

Can't help with the Samsung S4 problem. My Sony Xperia works extremely well as does my wife's Samsung S2.

Streaming from my galaxy S3 and my wifes S4 works fine on mine. I'd check the file format and what compression your files are on your phone.

I've found the same with fog. Fog acts like a diffuser and spreads the light evenly. So the sensor will think it's a nice day lol.
As the facelift model doesn't have fog lights on the front, I think I'll always put the lights to manual when fog comes down. As the daytime lights are not that visible.

I have the same connectivity issues with my S3 and am afraid that I have never managed to resolve it.

Others have covered the reason for your lights not coming on automatically  so I won't say anything more about that.

My phone tests have been as followed:

HTC One X (pre "repair) - No crackling
HTC One X (post "repair") - Lots of crackling

Samsung S3 - Crackling

Sony Xperia S - No crackling.

I can tell you that the amount of crackling is reduced by having the phone in the slot under the head unit than in my pocket. I presume because this is where the Bluetooth receiver is stored and as such there is less chance for interference.

I believe it's the luck of the draw with the phone tbh.
