Howdoo folks. Been a member on here a while as I used to own a lovely hdi.
Anyways just took delivery of a 12 plate RCZ Asphalt 200 thp from a salvage auction in Chester. Just wondered if anyone on here knows the previous owner for the handbook and spare key etc? It was a lady owner. Won't go into the state of the inside!!!
On a side note: the oil is really black and obviously needs a good service. Has anyone ran a flushing oil through first then filled with decent oil? I was thinking maybe this was a good idea as god knows how long this car has been unloved. It did have a half empty can of mobile 1 in the boot. Do these petrol engines like oil or are prone to oil leaks?
Sorry loads of questions.
Thanks

Maybe a photo or reg number might help. Assume you have bought from Copart as they have a Chester branch. Any body damage at all as think the Matt paint takes some matching ?. Have a search on the forum as the Matt paintwork needs special considerations regarding cleaning and looking after.

I have an Asphalt. It shouldn't leak at all and oil top-ups are rare.

Cleaning the bodywork is very quick and easy. No need for polish etc as it'll ruin the Matt finish and it is meant to look very dull.

I use this for the paintwork and a micro-fibre cloth:

Can't find the exact product but it is like this for the conditioner:

Some of the petrols tend to use oil and others don’t it’s something you have to keep an eye on and clean oil is the only way to keep these baby’s running sweet.

I used to check mine without fail a couple of times a week.
It did need a drop every now and again, but didn't use oil excessively.
