Hi guys. I'm actually down under in New Zealand, but with no club in this neck of the woods, I figured I'd sign up here. Am not quite a week into owning the 2010 RCZ I picked up last week. Had of told me a fortnight ago I'd own a Peugeot I'd have laughed at you, but man, I'm LOVING this sexy little beast. Absolutely mint condition, and the only fault I can find is that the heater doesn't work! Apparently been an ongoing fault with it, and wondered if anyone else has had similar issues. Has just had the core replaced as it developed a pinhole on a seam, but wasn't working prior to that either. All buttons/functions as far as demister/fan/individual temp gauges work fine, but generates zero heat. Any thoughts?

Hi and welcome.

There are a few other from down under in Australia and New Zealand that are also on here.

Sounds like an airlock or blockage.

Has the thermostat housing been looked at? Might be a faulty thermostat!!!!

Hope you get it sorted soon.

:greetings-wavingblue: Welcome :text-welcomewave:

I agree with the above, airlock/thermostat most likely, but there are several issues that could affect the heater.

That apart, you are in for the ride of your life. RCZ what a car !!!

So, next thing, let’s see some photos

Hello and welcome to the forum.

I had a problem on two of my previous Peugeot's heaters which are in essence the same heater just tarted up.

If after trying to see if you have a blockage you still cannot find the issue - this is worth a look...

The heater has a couple of little motors that turns a flap in the heater housing, which directs air to the required vents. The cog is plastic and the teeth sometimes break so the flap is essentially stuck in whichever position it was in when it broke. I had one stuck on hot all the time and the other was stuck on cold !
If you ask at a garage they will tell you that the dash has to come out, to get to the heater housing... But this is not true. It is a pain to do and you end up with your legs wrapped over your shoulder and head pointing backwards !!
There is a kit you can buy which fits over the cogs ( this is because they are fixed in the heater assembly and cannot be changed without removing the heater etc etc. ) and that fixes it, just got to be careful to line it up correctly so that all the vents work as they should.
Sorry if this is a long reply and I know its hard to think it could be that, but on mine the heater was working no problems - it was just stuck in the closed position so the heat wasn't being directed to the vents. On the other one the flap was stuck open on hot all the time - even through summer until I eventually fixed it..
