Took delivery of a Pearlised White GT 200 Hdi in October. In Dec 2010 I traded in my uneconomical 4 x 4 for the sensible peugeot 207, but really wanting the RCZ in the showroom alongside. In October I popped in to have another look and decided I needed to enjoy my retirement now, savings no good to me after I'm gone. I have not regretted it. I have always loved driving having spent 10years coach driving in the 80s and being an advanced car and commercial member for 35 years. I live in North Cornwall. There was another white RCZ in my village a few weeks ago staying a hotel nearby, totally confusing my friends.

Well you're never too old and 65 is still very young  You only live once and as you say, you can't take your money with you.

Glad you are enjoying the RCZ and you've also got the right colour. I hope you enjoy many miles of happy motoring. Enjoy

Welcome to the forum :greetings-wavingblue:

At last another Cornish member. Good choice, I too went from a 207 to RCZ & Donna to name a few. Had a mini meet with Waynesh & Adele this weekend, would be good to add another. It's a 2.0ltr HDI btw, not to be confused with the 200hp THP petrol model. So if you are 65 do you become a 'Senior Member' straight away?

Where did you purchase your RCZ?

Njoy forum & motor.

Hi folks, I'm Mike & also 65. I changed my 4th Astravan, last April, for a 200 THP GT after 27 years of work. The car will supplement my BMW M3 E46 that's kept for shows & summer days-out. So far Al's well & in the 8 months since purchase it's covered just 6000 miles, but that includes 3 trips from my Kent home to Scotland, which take-in the obvious Motorway trek & single track roads on the western isles. I'm very satisfied with my choice, except possibly the awkward pedal arrangement which for me takes the edge off the otherwise enjoyable driving experience.
It was certainly worth the 3 month wait for the order to be processed, (i wanted the Grey/Blue "frisson" Integral leather (incl. dash), & the Charcoal paint. That together with the Xenon lighting pack gave me all i needed for blissful motoring.

When choosing my RCZ I wanted to see the Pearl White in the flesh but as my dealer didn't have one available they contacted a customer who had previously purchased one and arranged that I could go and see it at his house.

The guy was in his 70's and recovering from a hip replacement op  He was a bit gutted as we wasn't able to be out enjoying his RCZ. He had traded in his Audi TT and when he told his pals at the golf club they said "what the hell do you want a Peugeot for" Different story when he turned up in though and if memory serves me right one of his pals has since bought an RCZ.

Anyways... You're only as old as you feel so go for it ;) And welcome to the forum

A very warm welcome to you too kentdriver. Wonder what took you so long to find us. Maybe you was just too busy. You are amongst friends here as most of us can remember the time when the phrase "the camera doesn't lie" actually meant something  I wish you continued enjoyment of your RCZ and many more treks up north
