Annual service

What you reckon folks?

Popped into dealer today as I've got something leaking from the OS front brake area into the alloy. Some thick greasy substance thats a biatch to clean. Anyway that will be sorted I'm sure, I asked if they could do an annual service whilst it was in, quoted £102. Now this includes an oil change which is what I wanted but does it need it? Last service was at 20K now I'm at 28K.
Any thoughts appreciated, Ive got the diesel.

Are you sure the 20k service included an oil change? Regardless not a bad thing to replace year old oil, esp at that price.

Hi guys n girls looking for a quick response on this. Cars in at Perrys MK now having this Annual service. Aswell as the creaky Spoiler and gunk spilling onto the Drivers side wheel.
Just had a call to say it needs a new drive shaft? £277 it's gone up to now. And it's not covered under warranty as its wear and tear? I don't know much about drive shafts. But what do you reckon.
If the drive shaft is damaged surely I would of felt it.
Not happy at all! 28k another problem I can see this car is going to cost me and arm and leg in repairs in the near future.

28k on a drive shaft is ridiculous, I'd contact peugeot if I were you.

If the work does go ahead ask for the damaged part in return (as you own it anyway) and get it checked out by a 3rd party.

As a mechanical engineer I can tell you for a fact that the drive shaft should not have failed at 28K. Closer to 100K I would expect that sort of wear. Chin them about it and tell them you are paying nothing and they will repair it.

And you wouldn't have necessarily felt anything in the car. Drive shaft went in my girlfriends mums car went and it was a sudden clunk as if the car stalled. No warning beforehand and it was a crappy old civic with well over 100k on the clock.

So to sum up, they are talking BS.

And also £102 to replace some oil? Loosening a bolt, collecting what falls out, tightening said bolt and then topping it up with fresh oil. Easy job, could do it for £40 of oil yourself with an hour tops of your time.
