Annoying Mirror Rattle

Hey guys & gals,

So my drivers mirror rattles, and whilst I usually have my music too loud to notice its beginning to p*ss me off

I also have a strange noise (not a crunch, and no issues with the actual changes) when I put my foot on the clutch and change lower gears (1-3 ish) anyone any ideas what these may be?

Would the rattle be covered under warranty? Frankly I've put off as I cba getting a 107/208 as a courtesy for the day

Cheers :)

Mmm what does the noise sound like when changing gear? Does it sound like a "bed of nails" or like there's no oil in the engine?

Your clutch/gearbox problems could be caused by the gearbox oil, the viscosity may need altering in order to work better. Have known this to be an issue but its usually temperature related ie stiffer/crunching gear changes low down the range in colder temperatures. This is caused by the oil thickening slighty when cold.

A gearbox oil change may be a simple solution if under warranty.

Cheers for the insight guys, the engine oil is fine, though admittedly I haven't checked the gearbox oil, the car is still under warranty, so I guess I'll ring my local Peug dealer and find out the crack :).
