Hi gtomo,

Love the pics, thanks for sharing. Car looks great. How are you finding it? Pleased with it?
My dealer rang yesterday and I've got a provisional delivery date of 2nd week of August. Might wait till September though for the new registration plate!

At the moment, everyone wants to have a look, but most don't know what it is.
You get a lot of pointing in cars going past, and cars seem to take a long time to overtake, getting a good eyefull as they do, and a few thumbs up, but every one
that sees it in the flesh, loves it. :D both inside and out. I would say most people are more impressed with the interior finish, and especially the seats and dash, oh and the clock ....
How dose it drive :?:
I am constantly supprised by it, I didn't think it would drive as well as it dose. The engine is great, I can't get over how well it pulls from low revs.

I will stop right there .... going off topic for a members gallery ;)

Standby for the full road test :D

Who's next to get one ?

That's looking fantastic.

Did you get any mats with yours ? If so what are they like - do they say RCZ on them? - (I'm obsessed, I know!)
What about the key ring - is it just a standard peugeot key ring or specific for the RCZ?

Sorry, for yet more questions!

RCZ1,

The GT comes with mats as standard, they are just normal carpet mats with no LOGO

The key ring thingy is supposed to be an RCZ one but they dont have any yet, he said he would get me one as soon as they come in . . . . ;) I bet !

Thanks Matt,
My neibour has a posrche 911 C4S with 19 inch Turbo alloys, and it's weired but they don't look as big as mine :?

He remarked on the hand stiching on the dash and doors being just as good as his, and this is on a £80,000 car.

It is creating alot of interest everywhere it goes, people a blown away by look of the outside and the feel of the inside.

I think that it will do for peugeot what the TT did for Audi's previous dull image.

im not suprised about the quality of the stiching on the dash doors and seats as the RCZ is made in Magna Steyr plant in Austria witch is where they make Aston Martin's. I really want my now :)

Thats right Matt, it's the Aston Martin Valante, I think it's the drop top.
And a quick look at google mentioned some versions of the Boxter, and Bently Continental . . . . . . . errm strangly enough there all drop tops :?:

I have another neighbour that works for a company that make interior quality inspection systems, he is a propper car nut, he has had a string the usual German cars,
and has just ended run of three Porsches.
when he came round to have a look at the RCZ, he liked the outside alot,
I said "what do you think of the inside" ?. . . then he said to me "you don't want me sitting in your car"
Knowing carl as I do, he tells it as it is, if you know what I meen !
I said "go on, be honest . . . . . . "
He opened the door, and unlike you or I, started to, what can only be described as INSPECT all the things that you would never think of,
he went straight for the folds in the leather, pulling at them with his thumb and fore finger, then he went inside, shut the door and looked to see if the stiching on the door lined up with the stiching on the dash.
At this point he had'nt said a word for about 2 mins, another 30 secs or so of pulling and pushing at the center console and stereo, then he started to look at the things NORMAL folk look at.
He said "well they have done a good job with the leather on the seats and dash, it's very hard to make the material fit snugley around the lumps and bumps without wrinkling. Do you know the dash isnt leather ?"
I did say he was a bit blunt. :D
He then said "they have been very clever in that they have kept all of the cheaper plastics out of site when your sitting in the driving position", something I had'nt thought of !
He said " they have made a good job of that, nice car mate.
Praise indeed from Carl :!:

I don't take much notice of what people think about things, I usualy make up my own mind, but it's always nice to get an expert opinion on something, and re-afferms what I thought when I first saw the car.

Always gives me a chuckle when people slag off the plastics down around the bottom of the cockpit in Pugs. The 407 coupe is just the same, nice soft touch plastics on the dash and center console, normal rugged plastics down round the transmission tunnel and the footwell. Do I notice? Nope... can't say i've ever got in the car and felt the urge to poke at the plastics!!
