Dont give up mate, youve got nearly a week :) Theres a car on ebay being broken for parts, you could look down that route?

If not, bring the TVR. You will be missed if you dont come. I would offer to pick you up, but you would have to fight my pregnant fiance for the passenger seat :p
Don't be so thick Abz. Lainey could drive yours and the pregnant wife can remain in the passenger seat. Oh that would mean you sharing the cramped rear seat with a pretty young lady............... What am I thinking :eusa-think:

:eusa-think:

Thats a toughy :eusa-think:

Hey that part number"20" on the schematic Abz , I can see that in the footwell , looks like it holds the cylinder in from in here , bet if I loosen it somehow it'll fall back into the engine bay area, I can borrow a ramp to have a look , maybe I can do this myself if I can get the part?? Trouble is it won't drive without the clutch ill have to organise a recovery , these things are sent to try us lol dagnammit

Yeah that looks like the seal through the fire wall. You may be able to sort it from below, then push it through, but if you take it off completely, then you will need to bleed it :)

You definitely picked an awkward part to break :p

Re: AM I HAVING BAD LUCK OR WHAT

Lainey, I don't think you can buy the plastic connector separately so it will probably mean a new clutch master cylinder. There appear to be four types but I can't yet work out what the differences are!

Gearbox BVM6 & MC RHD
Up to RPO 12509 = Part no. 2182G8
From RPO 12510 = Part no. 96 700 091 80

Gearbox BVM6 & ML6C RHD
Up to RPO 12565 = Part no. 2182G2
From RPO 12566 = Part no. 96 700 094 80

None of these four part numbers are available yet from any independent aftermarket supplier so it will be Peugeot only.

Sorry no better news but I hope you can get one organised in time.

Thanks buddy , good work there , that's some more ammo for tommoz, I figured it would be dealer only as most parts are with such a new/rare designed car . I'll track a bugger down , I have to

Re: AM I HAVING BAD LUCK OR WHAT

Lainey,

I might be wrong but that looks like the clutch adjuster to me. I don't have any experience with Peugeot parts but the cylinder that it attaches to should come through the bulk head and into the cabin. I would expect the end that is broken off is screwed on and that is how the clutch is set at the factory by screwing it on or off during assembly to a pre set point.

This is how Toyotas work anyway. As many pats are common across vehicles by having this adjustment the piston can be set to deliver the correct amount of fluid for that spec of vehicle / clutch.

Anyway so what I'm saying is you should be able to unscrew the broken part off the push rod from inside the car and if you can get the part simply replace it in the same way. However you will need to get the adjustment right. I would suggest wrapping some insulation tape around the push rod before removing the broken piece if you haven't already done so, and use that as a marker of refitting the new part.

Might be wrong as I say but that's how Toyotas work and it should be a relatively simple job (although your dealer may say different  )

Cheers

Re: AM I HAVING BAD LUCK OR WHAT

I saw an interesting report on the German car show "VOX auto mobil" http://www.vox.de/medien/sendungen/auto-mobil/3a8f0-1cccf2-6028-19/reparatur-dank-3d-drucker.html last week-end about using 3D printers to produce and also enhance this type of plastic parts so you don't have to buy a complete new part.
They demonstrated it on a 207CC windscreen deflector which only had a broken latch but the dealer only could order a complete deflector. Because the latch actually wasn't very solid, they enhanced the 3D scan before printing it so that it won't fail again in the same way.
Too bad for you this is still in development and the clutch is a safety related part.
Also these 3D printers are still very expensive but I have no doubt this will be how it goes in the very near future!

No ,it's a nightmare bigmac, but I'm on it..... It's at the garage today .... Still having the lowering springs fitted even though she's immobile at the mo , I'll post the pics of her lowered tommorrow to at least cheer me up in the interim. She may not move at the minute but at least she'll look "deadly" when they're fitted ;0)
And thanks for the extra info frank & jim , it's all helpin

Re: AM I HAVING BAD LUCK OR WHAT

I find an immobile car is easier to mod :p My first 206 needed a new engine when I bought it. Id nearly finished modding by the time I swapped the engine

   :eusa-shhh: :eusa-shhh:     Game over , part not arrived ...... Been up all evening trying to procure some kind of fix ....... Not happening , so I give up now, knackered and tired....bed awaits and the crappy realisation when I open my eyes in the morning that I'm not going after all. Rcz still dead and no exotica available to use to make up for it
Hope you all have a wonderful time. Gutted this little prob has scuppered this meet for me , I'll really look forward to the pics and banter though. Come on sun, be shining tommoz for everyone, you owe me one break this weekend

Oh no Lainey. So sad :(

I felt sure you were going to turn up and surprise us all.

It really is a shame. I really was looking forward to seeing your RCZ and of course, meeting you.

I hope you manage to get the Z sorted soon and hopefully we will see you next year.

Such a shame I will miss this epic event in my calendar , I won't hold it against my car as she's been amazing , and a glitch can happen at any time. But I think she'll have to be punished and wait to be adorned with some of Abz's discs now ..... Hope you all have a fab day ,much love Lainey :Moony:
