Aluminium arches

Previous forums was saying that the aluminium arches are hard to clean and to be careful what to use. I tried WD40 today and they are gleaming...

Good stuff and apparently doesn't contain anything that will harm humans :?: . But it can destabilize clear coat in some instances so spray onto cloth rather than direct onto rails.
