Hi,
I hope you can source for a fully functional and compatible DRL LED.

I am working on this currently.

As previously mentioned, the ones I sell and use do at times light-up with one a little dimmer than the other, but I have not had any issues with them both not working. These bulbs out of others have so far been the best. I have tried a few others, but will still keep looking for better ones.

Cheers.

Seems such a big fuss the led bulbs :eusa-think: they are fine perfect in fact as i have tried a few i think its down to the cars circuitry as these bulbs are extremely efficient working on the slightest voltage and i mean even some ghost voltage from other circuits like the indicator circuit when central locking is used.the led bulbs in the front drls accepts non canbus even canbus type bulbs, as the rears are strictly non canbus and require a resistance in the led bulb to operate.

I Do not think as i said there will be a cure for the small gremlins in the front drls and high quality bulb choice is very limited just now for rcz performance but the member is trying

Yes I agree with this in that the circuitry of our cars is the cause of the DRL issue. I too have tried a few LEDs, but you can tell they were not going to work out because of poor results. And so as I previously mentioned, the ones that I use are the best of the bunch, and the gremlins that pop-up at times with one bulb being a little dimmer than the other, again is not a concern of mine, better than the halogen yellow bulbs. Also these LEDs do not trigger any faults, which is a good thing.

I have been able to locate an electrician who specializes in LEDs, and I have been in discussion with them about LEDs for our cars. The front DRLs will be looked at and so I hopefully will have something to share with you all soon.

In regards to the selection on my site, I know there are several different choices out there but I only want to provide what is best for our cars. If there are any high quality bulbs and/or LEDs you believe I should look into, please let me know.

Thanks

Normal sidelight Leds are i find No Problem as long as you can find a xenon Match,Its probably the way it switches hence my post from Marcus

the drl bulb in rcz are a twin filament bulb, 21w is the drl and 5w is the sidelight. When you turn the headlights on the 21w drl filament is turned off and the 5w sidelight one turned on
Keep up the hunt

Just upgraded my 18 LED bulb P21/5W WHITE DRLs with the (P21/5W) White 92 LED from RCZ Performance website. These certainly look a lot better and brighter! Hope they are road legal. I'm very happy with the result. Took 5 minutes to swap (medium sized hands :D)

Nothing is there, not even a hole or wiring. But maybe a place for someone to add something ;)

All of my suppliers are out-of-stock for 4-5 weeks. Once they have them back in stock, I will be purchasing a bunch of them so that I do not have to tell anyone again we do not have them...my apologies for this :(

Just checked with my supplier and they are still out-of-stock. I will update everyone as soon as they are back in stock.

Have a great day!

Re: Zombie1066 upgrades all Front Lights on the RCZ

Now that I have installed (or rather my beloved) the LED DRLs, my headlights now look extremely yellow in comparison therefore I now need to upgrade my lights.

I've looked on your website and this thread and I think I need these to replace my headlights - is that right? I don't have the vision pack.
http://shop.rczperformance.com/Philips- ... -PDVH7.htm

I'm a bit concerned though. Are these considered HID lights? So would I need to remove them at MOT time (not that I'm likely to still have the car at that time - would have got another one by then :) ).

Your help would be great.

Yes the bulbs you have selected are the dipped beam bulbs for non-Vision RCZ's. These bulbs are upgrade bulbs only and not HID, so this is not an MOT concern. They will look much better than your existing bulbs, but for a true bright light you can upgrade to HID. You can convert to HID with these:

Looking forward to your order :)

So my original link for the bulb will give a white light? Is this brighter than the OEM light? I'm not particularly bothered about a HID upgrade as I don't want to be messing about changing bulbs. Thanks :)

Yes these bulbs give as good as a white light possible from a halogen style bulb and will be brighter than your OEM

Some info on e marks:
E-mark approval on a lamp basically means that it has been tested by an approved photometric laboratory and has achieved the standards laid down by the EC for fitment to a vehicle within the European Union. There are other regulations which apply in the UK, vehicles registered from 1986 onwards are required to have e-marked lights if they are used on a public road. Given the fact that there could be insurance- or even legal implications if a vehicle without e-marked lights is involved in an accident, always follow the manufacturer or distributors guidelines when fitting & using styling lighting. Some lights, for instance, are not legal for road use, and if you do fit them to your car you assume all responsibility for any consequences thereof.

Hi,
I read your post regarding front lights and wonder whether you can help me with instructions of how to change dipped beam bulbs please. I bought new bulbs and followed instructions in Peugeot RCZ manual but didn't manage to take the old bulbs out.
Thank you
Yurskiy
