It was good to know I was the first in Hampshire to own the very first Z




Then went for a white one




And now the facelifted model

I have to agree with you on that RCZ1
The black arches are the new chrome don't you think? That should provoke some comments :shock: and I must say your morrocan red looks fantastic, if i go for another RCZ I think it will have to be that red with black arches

But the black roof arches definitely add something to the styling of the car and is it me, but the roof seems to be darker too?!

Another thing, how do you compare the ride, road holding and basic feel of the car all round because to me, it certainly feels better in all departments to the previous one - the lovely Pearl

I have noticed the ride and the road holding does feel better, not sure if it’s because everything is still new and has yet to bed in but compared to the last two I’ve had, it is better.

You just know you’re going to open a can of worms by saying chrome is so last year! But it is! I wonder how many people will have them wrapped now.

Certainly the car feels very "tight" and well put together and is a considerable pleasure to drive :thumbup:

I will say with the last two Z s I've had none of them gave me any trouble and after being stored in the garage for 2 months or more while I've been away, they would start without any problems at all.

At the moment I can’t see anything on the market with the looks and price I would want. I’ll be will be interested to see what RCZ ‘R’ comes out like, based on the Ashaplt I don’t think it will come too much, certainly the price of £35,000 amongst other speculated prices for an extra 60 BHP doesn’t do anything for me.

Thanks Damnfoolman, I think the RCZ has to be the all time best looking car on the road to date.
They look great as you see one coming towards you when driving out and about

It’s one of those cars that its critics love but hate due to it being a peugeot; I overheard a conversation between two people while looking at my car, It went something like this………… they are nice but only have a 1600 engine bit crap really for a car like that,

I thought shows how much they both know about it, so I put them down to Ford drivers :lol:

Hi, your latest one looks the best by far!

Can you tell me how and where you got your arches wrapped? And how much it costs?

I am looking into buying a white RCZ and will want to wrap the arches.

I realise this is an old thread, but I have to comment on your "latest" car the Mk2. The colour choice is exactly the one I would have gone for, but couldn't resist mine when I saw it, and red was my wife's 1st choice anyway.

I agree the black arches really suit the car, more so on certain colours, white & red predominantly.

I haven't driven a Mk1 so I have no comparison to ride quality, but the Mk2 certainly hugs the Tarmac.

Interesting to read the predictions about the "forthcoming" R. Not far out with the launch price estimate. I was surprised to read in another thread that there are only 185 in the UK. I had expected it would have been closer to the 300 per year limit.

Hope you are still enjoying the car as much as I enjoy mine :beer:
