Hello all , I have a 2012 RCZ with the 115 power petrol . It has a screw in water sensor but all the eBay ect only list the clip in ones , I am told the sensor is why my air conditioning system doesn’t work. Anyone had the same ?

My 200 sport had a failing thermostat which disabled my air con & when I replaced the tank it went back to normal also this not a unusual fault concerning the Air con

Good afternoon
My air con has just packed up. An OBD scan identified a ground fault with the pressure sensor. Sensor has been replaced. System has been evacuated and re gased. I still have no cold air. Do you know what it could be?

Does anyone know if the radiator fan should come on with the air con? I've never heard or seen the radiator fan come on. I've never had issues with overheating either.

I'm so confused, if anyone could shed some light on the situation it would be massively appreciated.

Yeah the Thermostat unfortunately is integral inside the tank

Hi Pedro, how much did the thermostat and housing cost? Is it something that’s easy to fit myself or did you get a garage to do it? I’m close by you on the Wirral. My air con hasn’t worked for 2 years and is blowing warm, no pressure but I think it’s either the Air conditioning pressure sensor or the thermostat (no clue where either of them are yet) The temp guage on dashboard never exceeds the 90 position, fan works, heating and blowers works but does make crackling sound behind dash/glovebox area. Where do you get yours checked?

I’m not an expert but honestly you should get that fan checked out asap because your fan should come on to cool the engine down and it’s very audible so you can usually hear it after you switch the engine off the fan will stay on for a few mins to cool engine down. If your fan isn’t working then no your aircon cant but you’re going to get worse issues than just aircon if you don’t fix your engine fan issue. I can’t help diagnose I’m afraid but your engine must get screaming loud and very hot if fan isn’t working surely?

Mine stopped working so had it re gassed but it was still off I scanned it for faults & it showed the Thermostat was showing a faulty temp fluctuation so I changed it & that fixed the issue ruling out electrical problems its possible the thermostat is failing

Housing cost me around £90 but I don't know for the 156 as they upgraded those for your model

Hi Gina,
Thanks for reaching out. The fan has never worked. The teprature has never risen above 90 degrees. I am going to order a new fan and relay this weekend. I'm struggling to find a relay though. Do you know what part number I would need?

It’s probably a good idea to check your thermostat isn’t faulty if your fan isn’t working either. But usually that would show a fault code in the diagnostic. Air conditioning temperature sensor (some call it the ac sensor switch) is also a possible issue. But most problems are usually actually associated with the thermostat or the fan or a leak or all 3. I’m sorry I don’t know what part number you would need though.
Are you absolutely sure the engine fan never works? I’m surprised its not overheating if thats the case

Hi.
I have changed the A/C pressure sensor, put a new thermostat housing in, including new thermostat sensor. (What a shitty job that was) and have now ordered a radiator fan and radiator fan relay. Going to do the relay first as it's only £20 and replace the fan if that don't work. If this fails I'm going to have to bite the bullet and take it to a specialist unfortunately. I will keep you updated.

Did you ragas the system? The fan is activated by 2 different systems the coolant & A/C compressor but its also a Thermostat issue that can shut it down

Yeah the system has been evacuated, pressure tested and recharged.
I have now replaced the fan relay and the fan and still no A/C or radiator fan functions. Going to have to take it to peugeot I think and get them to diagnose the fault. They want £150 + VAT though to diagnose it. Any recommendations on national companies (or South Coast) that can do detailed diagnostics at a cheaper rate. I saw that the RAC do it for £75 but I don't know if there software is generic or not.

Hiya Pedro. No nothing it rises up to 12 o clock position slowly and smoothly. Had a friend plug his topdon scanner in today. Come up with open or short circuit on both low speed and high speed on the radiator fan. My mates a sparky and is going to swing through it in the morning. Hopefully he will find a fault somewhere.
I will keep you updated.
Thanks for checking in

Good evening,
I have good news!!! At last. Radiator fan is now running in slow and fast speeds and cold air is blowing through my vents.
Turns out that the faults just needed clearing down after I conducted the jobs. I'm a happy boy today.
Thanks for your input and replies. It really is appreciated.
