I know what you mean. The concept car shows clearly the lid for the head lamp cleaning nozzle, but the Lion always looks like something I usually scrape from the windshield through summer.
My guess is that there are too many different Peugeot lion logos in the net, so it tries to approximate a sufficient one. Same with characters and numbers, fingers etc.
