Would a cover help, I mean the ones that cover complete car? especially if your car is red as in a hot climate the colour red fades under the sun so would be duel purpose to prevent your knob from getting hot and stop colour fadingSo, I bought an aftermarket alloy gear knob. Its perfect, amazing feeling in hands when driving, seems smaller and shorter than original.
One thing - during summer, beware of leaving your car outside in the heat. I almost cooked my hand on it. I had the car parked outside at work, the gear knob got heated so much, I had to use a triple layer cotton facemask between it and my hand to be able to shift gears. I could still feel the heat from it two hours afterwards when it was parked in the shade
Probably yes.Would a cover help, I mean the ones that cover complete car? especially if your car is red as in a hot climate the colour red fades under the sun so would be duel purpose to prevent your knob from getting hot and stop colour fading
Nice. I remember a number of years ago I had the opposite problem with a Citroen c2 vts, I'm from Scotland and was a bad winter and got really cold overnight so I had frost on inside of window and frost on my alloy gear knob french cars are not good for keeping the extreme cold out and the extreme heat out as we both knowProbably yes.
I dont know about extreme cold, since I bought my RCZ in April this year Will learn it the hard way next winter Hopefully it goes well, since I park my car out on the street.Nice. last winter was pretty mild for us and that was first winter for my RCZ. there was a little snow and rcz not the best car to be driving in deep snow as its low at front. Still good reliable car as I haven't had too much problems. my windscreen washer froze and sometimes fuse blows when u switch on when it frozen. needed a couple new tires at front. Previous owner had 4 different brands of tyres on two windscreen wipers which are piss easy to fit yourself and a front headlight bulb. I've had mine for almost two years so not bad.I dont know about extreme cold, since I bought my RCZ in April this year Will learn it the hard way next winter Hopefully it goes well, since I park my car out on the street.
That is good to know. I just refilled my washer fluid with something that goes to -35C so I think I’ll be fine. I have it now for about 6k km, and the only issue I has was a burnt out ignition coil. 20€ and a quick fix was all I needed to get it going back.last winter was pretty mild for us and that was first winter for my RCZ. there was a little snow and rcz not the best car to be driving in deep snow as its low at front. Nice my RCZ is currently getting serviced and M O T. not sure where your from but in UK if your car is 3 years or older it has to pass an M O T which basically means they go round the entire car looking for faults. a fault means a fail and u need to fix and re test. That is good to know. I'm from Slovenia, had our version of MOT done in April. The last owner registration did run out, so I had to do the MOT before I could register the car under my name. It was faultless so, fingers crossed it will be the same next year The guy doing the inspection said that for its age (car was made in 2013) he never saw the better looking and taken-care of car in his career - I just hope it wasn't his first day doing the MOT inspectionsNice my RCZ is currently getting serviced and M O T. not sure where your from but in UK if your car is 3 years or older it has to pass an M O T which basically means they go round the entire car looking for faults. a fault means a fail and u need to fix and re test.
Cool I've just picked mine up and mine passed no problems. I gave it a once over the day before to make sure none of the lights were out and checked tyres and filled up window washer. so that's second year in a row mine has passed zero problems. mine is a 2014 2.0 hdi. not bad for a car that's 7 years old this yearI'm from Slovenia, had our version of MOT done in April. okay update on alloy gear knob. it can get quite hot if you park in direct sunlight on a very hot day as I found out! I'm from Scotland so really hot days are few and far between but if I lived in a hot country I would definitely park in shade or find a decent car cover!Cool I've just picked mine up and mine passed no problems. Haha it can get quite cold in Scotland. I'm currently thinking about doing the spacer modification to give my RCZ an aggressive look. I could buy wider alloys but spacers will be much cheaperNever had frostbite on my knob, but it has been very hot before
