After 6 great years of RCZ ownership its sadly time to say goodbye . I have enjoyed ever moment of the ownership , looking out off the mirror at the bulges on the wheel arches to the RCZ wave. It was great to meet all of you that attended the visit to HQ in Coventry. Had a good talk with Steven ( RCZ performance and many others), unfortunately never met RCZ1 or others but enjoyed the crack on the forum. The only issue I have ever had was the creaking mirrors , replaced with out an issue by my local dealer. Car being traded in tomorrow 6 year old 17000 miles will try to post some pictures tomorrow. Oh what am I buying ?? ..... It's a Peugeot 308 GTI270 ,I hope I enjoy it as much as the RCZ all the best to you all happy motoring

I changed from an RCZ to a 208GTi but I'm already considering moving up to the 308 GTi. Make sure and post pics of the new car?

Sorry I never got the chance to meet you either Jim. I do like your choice of car to replace the RCZ though. Were you not tempted by the RCZ R ?

Yes I was tempted by a RCZR but just couldn't find what I was looking for mileage and age wise so decided to go for next best thing. I did a 48 hr test drive last weekend and it just went from there.

Hi, and good luck with your new car but don't know how you could leave your beautiful RCZ at the dealers and drive away in your new car and be happy. Forget all those admiring glances from people and join the que of identical boring looking cars! Sorry maybe controversial but my view :eusa-think:

I know the 308 is going to be a fantastic car. I know it's probably got updated equipment, and it's going to be quick, very quick, but I can't help but agree with Neil about the look of the car. :eusa-think:

I am absolutely dreading the day I part with my Z. There isn't a car out there (anywhere near my budget) that I can honestly say I would want to swap my Z for. I have no idea what I'm going to do - probably get something like an Audi A5 or Range Rover Evoke. I know it will not be anything like my Z, I know I will not like it anywhere near as much, and I know I'm going to end up paying a fortune for one, but I also know I can't keep my Z forever, so like I said, I'm dreading that day. :police:

Good luck with your new car & I hope you enjoy it somewhere near as much as you enjoyed your Z.

I agree It's a Nice car but compared to a RCZ It looks boring. Only the interior NOT boring at all. But good luck with your new car.

Yes I understand exactly what you mean the rcz is simply stunning, however I was getting to the stage of not using it due to the poor weather we have had up here the last few years . It was sitting for months on end with its cover on (maybe it was a mistake buying the covered , but it kept it like new over the winters) I certainly was sad to part with it but strangely not as much as my wife , she would not come up to the dealers when I was trading it in. Its kind of strange I know but I was starting to get worried about leaving it parked when on holiday or wherever we left it ( a bit OCD but arn't we all) I suppose is was down to its looks and condition as you know people always take a second look at them . Anyway I am sure somebody will be really happy to buy it after all I really enjoyed my 6 years of ownership from driving it to cleaning it and even just admiring its curves , I always liked the view from the door mirror over the rear arch. One of my neigbours stopped the other day to ask were I had sold it to as he was looking for a car for his daughter and could not think of a better car. I sure I will regret parting with the RCZ just like I did my 205gti 1.9 however as you said what do you replace it with. Anyway the 308 is maybe a bit duli but you have to see it in the flesh to appreciate it and boy does it go . anyway happy motoring .

We tend to use my wifes 208 as a daily car . RCZ was used for holidays and at weekends. It was also never used in the winter.

Then why sell it at all ? It's the most exciting car for that budget. If I would change it would be for an RCZ R.

I also use my RCZ only during weekends and vacation. Never in winter. I will keep it until I die.

Such a shame to sell an RCZ.
Danny wrote, I will never sell and I could not agree more.
Good luck with your new ride though. :greetings-wavingblue:
P.S. Will the 308 sit on the drive, if so strange that you are changing?

Hello there

Love the Colour and sporty look of your New Car  Seems rather unfair to compare the two Cars side by side as they are so different ….. can totally understand your reasoning, as there comes a time where it is a case of "Different Horses for Different Courses" for me it goes the other way, and below it is the BMW on the way out. Having been through a lengthy "practical" stage, where I needed a 4 door for my elderly Parents and after a very difficult and Sad beyond belief year where I lost my Dear Mother and Best Friend …..

By chance came across a Car which just for a few moments lifted my Spirits

So Stylish and Graceful… rather reminded me of Someone so very dear to me ;)

Two years ago, I lost both my parents within the space of a year, so my thoughts are with you Sue, and I hope that every time you see or drive your beautiful Z, it helps to spark fond memories.

Sorry to hear that Pete ..... and thank you for kind words :)

The strange thing is that we had not even been looking to change our Car So soon and was in fact just filling in time whilst getting a health check on our Current Car a few Garages down the Road from the Peugeot Garage.....

Especially as we knew we would have to take a large hit re part exchange having only had the BMW for 14 months, did say to my hubby that I was not really in the mood for looking at Cars until something caught my eye in the corner of the Showroom

Yes good luck with the RCZ and my condolences with your recent loss ,I lost my father just before buying the RCZ 6 years ago, he would have loved it. My wife lost her mother last year it was awful we were driving 130 miles a day to the hospital and back , but she had a good life until the last couple of weeks. Anyway many have miles with the RCZ.
