Hi guys, had my 2013 GT200 a few weeks now and it has been back at the Peugeot garage twice already for a new engine temperature sensor and a coolant sensor, each time I've mentioned about a strange rattle/ vibration i can hear when I have both windows down and both times I have been told nothing's wrong.
I have since noticed that it only starts when I lift my foot of the accelerator and stops when I use it again, also if I'm only doing 25\30 through a built up area and I keep letting my foot off the gas it makes the noise and then the car seems to jerk/splutter a little.
Is it characteristic of this car or is it me being paranoid .
P.s when I give it some beans it seems to run as sweet as a nut.
Any advice is very welcome. :helpme:

That sounds like a low rev vibration to me, as if something's loose under the bonnet. Perhaps worth lifting the lid and getting someone to rev it up a little while you look and listen. I once had (on another car) the battery holding strap work loose and that rattled against it's holding area, might be something as simple as that or perhaps the mechanic has left a spanner somewhere

My son used to own a Vauxhall Corsa that had a similar sounding problem to yours.
He had this rattling on tick over but as soon as he touched the accelerator it would stop, even just touching the pedal and increasing the revs by a very tiny bit stopped the rattle.
It turned out to be the timing chain & tensioner needed replacing, the slight rev increase caused the chain to tense up and stop the ratting, but on tick over over the tensioner wasnt taking up the slight slack in the chain.

The RCZ has been know to suffer from timing chain problems and the jerking you are experiencing could be where the timing is ever so slightly be affected at low revs.

I've recently noticed a very very slight rattle or tap on tick over with my Z which seems to dissapear if I increase the revs, so I'm thinking could the chain & tensioner be starting to wear ?
It has only done just over 10000 miles though, but I've been told by my dealer that they've seen cars in their workshop with even less miles having the timing chain problem sorted.
