I thought I'd change the gearbox oil today.
Discovered I didn't have an 8mm square drive. So I made one from an extension on my bench grinder.
Check the colour of the old oil. This out of a less than 57k mile car.

Now that makes you think it should be on the service schedule a bit more often, in fact, I’m not sure it’s on there at all. :eusa-think:

Just going for a test drive, maybe no massive difference but I'd rather that black muck be out of it.

A bit better, still a notch going 1st to 2nd, but seems smoother in all the others.

just noticed your footer, does your car have a mesh grill either black or chrome?

because I had the Feline pack on my GT, but was told it comprised of Quads / side decals and chrome mesh grill. like so -

No, mine has the quad tailpipes and small gloss black corner spoilers on the front bumper. Both of which I'm sure were part of the feline kit.
I may be wrong though!

I am tempted by some side decals, but I'm unsure how it would look given mine isn't red/white/blue or black.

Well not going to jump this thread, but you might be interested in looking at this post all about decals etc....

and it don't matter your cars grey, most decals can be bought in any colour as you will see.

Cheers

Changing gear box oil is essential on our cars.

I had to convince my garage to change the oil on my car. They insisted, it is a lifetime fill, so it doesn't need to be changed. Yeah, right. Lifetime, till it dies.

I'd change it every other second service. Do not wait till it is too late. :greetings-wavingblue:

I've been thinking about this for a few months now.

Have got a price from a local to work garage in Filton if a few quid under £100.

As I've never done this before and not having access to tools as I'm not at home much atm, I don't think it's a bad price.

The oil 75w80 from the Peugeot service system is only £10.26 per litre, and they say 2 litres.

The one I'm changing the oil on is the HDi with at the moment 55K on the clock.
