Hello all, 👋🏽

I have just purchased my 1st new-to-me RCZ and to say I’m excited is an understatement. I’ve bought a white, 2012, 1.6 THP GT Coupe 2dr Petrol 156. 59,000 miles, immaculate condition inside and out. Full main dealership service history. Timing chain replaced October 2023 by Peugeot main dealer. Recent full service including all filters and gear box oil change, plus brake fluid change and new front discs and pads.

I have to admit (and apologise in advance 🙈) that I am very inexperienced and a complete novice with anything to do with cars other than driving them, but I’m hoping to learn lots by joining this group and increase my knowledge of all things RCZ! They are sexy looking cars that I do know! 😄

Little worried reading through some of the posts that this could end up being quite an expensive car to maintain with their known issues, but I guess people will post more if there is a problem than if everything is fine, so trying not to get too caught up in that.

So anyway, hi to you all, and looking forward to my RCZ adventure!

Hi and welcome to the forum and RCZ ownership, like us all you’ve been bitten by the bug! 😁
The frequent bad posts across the RCZ groups relating to poor reliability of the petrols can get a bit tiring and to some degree make you a little paranoid but you’ve done the best you can by buying one with a good history and that’s obviously been cherished,if things do break and remember some of these cars are 14 years old now, there are plenty of advice around to sort it out, one must when owning a THP is a code reader it will save you a lot of money and worry.
Just go and enjoy your new car and if you fancy meeting up with like minded owners we attend meets and events throughout the year with RCZ UK facebook group 👍🏻

Hi and thank you for the welcome and reassuring words!!
My partner is a petrol head and has a code reader so anything technical I leave to him as he is in his element 😂 I, however, just prefer the actual driving and would love to attend some meets in the future. Do they get posted on here?

Yep, difficult cars to photograph.. The subtle curves in the glass roof and the proportions of the rear end only really come across in real life. I'm jealous of your black roof bars!
