ABS/ESC random light on

A problem.... ABS/ESC light coming on randomly, can stay out for days! Peugeot main dealer diagnosis is ABS unit fault, fault code C1381. That has been away for check and repair, but no fault found? Can anyone offer help on this?

If its ABS would a wheel sensor possible give these warnings as well?

Eg if a wire is broken, or dirt on the actual sensor
