hey and thx for reading. I'm in the process of buying a RCZ and I keep being told horror stories about it having engine problems. so here I am turning to the experts the actual ppl who own the car. is there some truth to this? does the rcz have engine issues and if so how severe are they?

There are people on here that have had 3 RCZ's and others that own 2 at once, so I think that should tell you quite a lot about the RCZ.

A look through this forum will help you check out some of the "more common" issues, but just remember, people don't post when their car is working fine, only if they have a problem, so don't think that because quite a few seem to have issues that all RCZ's are dodgy. Far from it, there are no more problems with the Prince engine than almost every other manufacturer has had.

There is something quite special about the RCZ, everyone who has one thinks so, and quite a few who don't have one thinks so too.

Had my Dolphin Blue 200 GT, for two years. It drove faultlessly and accurately.
Was blazing fast, comfy on long journeys, only problem I had was face ache because of the permanent grin on my face. It was and still will be to it's new owner, a very special car that's styling is unmatched with anything on the road under a million quid ! ( excuses to Kerry )

I did have a problem which is quite common from the posts read on the forum, and that was a cooling / temperature / sensor. But it was easily fixed and easy to diagnose also.

All in All I have trouble not driving my Z ( new R model ) which is another story, and infact getting in trouble for not driving the work car just such a fun car!

Incidentally RCZ'ers - I have recorded 44.7 mpg for a full week's driving to work in the R. That may not be anything special but the most I have had since getting it is 39 mpg. Though must remember to take off my diving boots !!

Buy one, keep it serviced and look after it well, and it will look after you! But don't get paranoid over all the people looking at you. I thought it was my horns at first
