Hi - I'm kate and have always had a love of sporty looking cars but at a budget!
Ive had - and I'm talking many years back a Rover tom cat (quite unusual at the time), Hyundai coupe in black (used to call it the black panther) Renault Megane coupe cabriolet (loved the drive and super vision in that car), and most recently Renault megane coupe tom tom dci.
So recently when the last one became 3 yrs old and while totally reliable but just didn't do it for me mentally! I decided after seeing an RCZ in a local Co-op car park in blue and loving the lines of it to look more closely at what was available at the dealerships nearby.
Firstly we went to the main Leicester dealership and saw two ropey ones - not detailed, not cared for at all!
Then a day later went to a secondary branch within the same area and found my dream RCZ! Opal white 5 months old, 5,000 miles and pretty well perfect! It's a sport GT HDi 1.9 and it drives like a dream!!
I have only owned this car for 2 days now but have got my Mojo back!! I keep staring out of my window at it and thinking - why have I got into this car on 2nd day of ownership and thinking - I want to work everything out all buttons - what they do - how good can I get the air con to suit me and the 6 speaker stereo also!
to be honest - I had the renault coupe tom tom from new and never bothered to check all components - just drove it!

So basically without boring you too much - I am a new owner of a peugeot never mind RCZ and within 48 hrs am smitten!
I will post when i've learnt the site here some pics of my named baby - Rosanna RCZ - felt so good and enthused for the first time in years about owning a car that does it for me these days without thinking about paying the price of a house!

Well, you seem to have RCZ fever good and proper!

Don't worry, you are not alone. Many of the owners here feel exactly the same way about theirs.

Anyway, welcome to the forum and let us know of your adventures!

Thank you for the welcome - i but more mainly Hubby matt are Alfa owners and regularly post on Aroc esp in east mids.
we love the banter at times on off topic posts but also welcome sound advice when needed re tech etc.
I do hope that the RCZ forum fans are as helpfull and interesting as the alfa ones and would love to know whether there are meets in the midlands?

yes! even driving 1st time back from the dealership heads were turning!
Its sounds silly to me and poss most of you but in an instant I havent felt so alive about a car in years!
DEFINATELY MOJO BACK!
Matt immediately washed, valeted, sorted out the inground stains (after 5 months of prev. ownership!) on the alloys and its like brand new..
He washes all our 4 vehichles almost every day, clays when necessary - he actually said to the dealership - do not valet it before we take ownership - do not want swirls etc.
This will be a pampered car!

Welcome. :)

Im a little confused. Is it the sport or the GT? And its a 2.0 ;)

But that aside, welcome again. I use the dealer on Abbey road for mine whenever I need anything. Its a bit of a trek but the guys there take car of me and the mrs :)

Im sure you will have this feeling for quite a while. I still have that feeling after a year and a half :D

Top purchase Kate, welcome aboard. Think it'll take some time for that excitement to wear off. Like Lee I still love coming back to wherever I've parked mine and catching sight of it. Enjoy ;)

Thank you - I am in cloud bubble land as after all years of owning nice cars - I've never felt like this and yes - it will take a time to come down! The pearl white in extreme sunlight is a sight to behold! I also love the stitching up and over the bits and pieces on seats and leather dash.
The 19" alloy wheels now totally cleaned and I do mean totally inside and out are a sight for sore eyes! It came from dealership with a cloth wipe and many raw areas on the alloys - fortunately not scuffed and internal stained areas sorted by the hubby! He has the severe OCD degree of car care but also the time and products to totally will care for this little beauty!!
It really is like brand new now!
I want to post pics as soon as..

So delighted!

Welcome!
Looking forward to your pictures...
I'm sure you'll appreciate the HDi (which is actually a 2.0 as pointed out by Abzynthe).
BTW the GT is the higher spec (as opposed to Sport) coming with many options included so that's definitely the one you want to have!

Thats great news - thank you for saying its the one to have! I love it but feel frustrated that due to home commitments have not had a chance to drive it today but will say that I have only felt hand in glove on a very few cars since driving and this one is another hand in glove!
I will post pics when i get the light and back drop good enough - the ones took so far show hubby's van and our Alfa's as in on drive area. so will wait until I get some good shots..
Thank you all so far for welcoming me so far!!

Hi all..
Here are the first pics of my Rosanna baby!
Just had to resize the pics for this forum as too large! so hope they are not postage stamp sized.
and thanks again for the warm welcome from senior members and all..
By the way - do any of your cars have names? our alfas are Betty (spider) and Bill (156) named after my recently deceased parents.
Rosanna was named after the sales lady at the Peugeot dealership so she must have done a good job!

Hubby Matt has today washed, clayed, auto finesse polished and 2 stage sealant applied.
leather balm to the somewhat dull seats and all is looking immaculate!

second drive today - not far due to commitments but a pleasure once again!

yours - kate

Ps - cars driving by our drive are turning heads!
Also - pics may be in reverse order as still learning this site.

Wow..stunning and your OH has done a fantastic detail on it. Glad to hear that you're enjoying your ownership and I'm sure you'll enjoy many happy and trouble free miles together! :D

Ps - your pics are all absolutely fine!! My tips for pics are either to upload them directly using the Tapatalk app on your phone or tablet or to up laid them to Photobucket and copy and paste the IMG details into your post. Both do all the hard work for you.

HI - Thanks for confirming pic size is fine!
It was a labouring excercise but now I know what to do its fine!
Ive tried photo bucket when on ebay and couldnt grasp it (even tho a seasoned seller on there), copying and pasting - well yes on docs but never tried it on photos - you lot will be so much more savvy than me - I just am not a computor wizz just a lady who sort of knows the basics but can master some quests.

also - just a small request - you lot know what the jargon is - I do not so pls bear with that also - What is an 'R' Pete?
