A long list!

Evening all! Got the RCZ going into the dealership tomorrow with a long list of problems, just wanted to know if anybody had encountered the same problems and if so how long did it take to fix them as my local dealer could not give me a time scale!
Problems:
1: Pass side mirror not working including power folding
2: Engine Temp warning light coming on all the time
3: Automatic Lights warning light coming on
4: Cutting out upon start up
5: Very loud rattle and squeak coming from SatNav / Dashboard
6: Front badge de laminating

If anybody has got any info I'd be grateful, not a happy RCZ owner at the mo!

i aint got quality control/build quality issues but i am sad that you have all them problems but i hope for your sake peugeot fix them asap on a £30k car thats pretty wowfull the amount issues it has :thumbdown:

the front badge won't take long to fix

I guess and it sounds like an engine management system failure which could require just a simple reset or could need new electronic systems in the car.

The rattle shouldn't take too long depends on if they can find the source of it or not (could be related to the engine problems)

I can imagine it will take about week but I am sure if you complain enough they will give you an RCZ as a courtesy car to make it more bearable.

Yes, I am currently experiencing problems with the temperature gauge as detailed in the Technical Discussion section under the "General Technical" heading. I had the temperature sensor replaced last week but since then I am still experiencing the needle rising and falling back when I have only driven for a couple of mins and then rising normally again. This was happening prior to having the sensor changed and then suddenly the needle went from zero to the other side a couple of times with a warning in Red flashing up on the dashboard "Temperate fault - stop car" so I’m just waiting for it to happen again!!! The car has also been in for a replacement spark plug which was later correctly diagnosed as a faulty ignition coil.
All engine faults and admittedly not as many issues as you but still enough to P me off.
Good luck getting them sorted.

I had a loan RCZ for a couple of weeks whilst mine was being sorted by Peugeot and that also had very loud rattles and squeaks coming from SatNav / dashboard.

Hope yours gets sorted to your satisfaction.

hi Harwood, as with yours they have diagnosed the engine temp sensor, they reckon it's causing pretty much all of the problems! Think I'll have to wait and see what happens! I will keep you posted!!!

i also had a problem with squeaks arouns the satnav.
they replaced it with a new one and still had the same problem.
then they taped some foam under it and putt it back in place and know everything is fine.
the important thing is, you dont see it :thumbup:
its the little plastic things underneed that are used to click the 'ring' in his place that squeaks.
you cant brake them off or anything because they hold everything in place.

Well after some top work by the team at Telford Motors my dolphin beauty is back and it's back on form!, I think the replacement engine temp sensor has made a huge difference, the car seems so much smoother and quieter! No warning lights and more importantly no dashboard rattles and squeaks! Just hoping it stays like it now and all of the gremlins are out of the system! Just get me an update for the NG4 and I'll be a very happy boy!!!!

Bingbong, good news that they have resolved all of your issues, sadly I have a very annoying rattle now. I can stop it by putting a finger against/in between the drivers side window strut and the dashboard and can actualy feel the dashboard moving very slightly. I currently have a KFC wet wipe jammed in there to reduce the noise because it got so anoying whilst driving back up the M1 today.

I am hoping that this will too be a very easy and swift fix. Not a great start though!!!

Ryan not sure I saw a KFC wet wipe on the options list! Lol, mate I know how you feel, I feel so much better now its fixed! I just hope it does not happen again! Get yours booked in and get the dealer to sort it.
I see you wrote on the Sat Nav thread aswell, I'm currently converting 250 songs to MP3 format so I can get them onto a USB! It should not be this difficult!!!

Dashboard squeak and rattle all sorted and gap closed. Great service and now I am happy again...
