LIMP MODE!!!!

Was less then a half a mile from home and it wasn't making any concerning noises so I nursed it back to the drive

The dealer technicians said it will be fine to drive in after turning it off and on again (I thought I was the one working in IT), I think I'll be plugging in my Lexia 3 first though.

Fingers crossed

So it turns out that Peugeot have no record of my SOS Connect, Break down or Warranty package :helpme:
I've gotten hold of a very helpful chap at Peugeot Care UK who is sorting that all out for me.

I've tried turning it of an on again, and it's idling really roughly and almost instantly flags up an engine error (I'm suspecting timing problems) so I'm going to have to wait for the AA to come pick me up as I'm sure as hell not driving it!

It sounds more like it could be a ignition coil that has given up.
Hope you get it sorted without too much trouble.

Give the man a prize!

It was the ignition coil, this has now been replaced, they also noticed the tyres needed replacing so they have ordered some and will give me a call when there in and fit them gratis.

Was a little nervous about changing Peugeot dealers as the one I bought the 308 from are very good, but so far I'm very impressed!

Now that is something that is actually rarer than an RCZ. :eusa-think:

An RCZ owner that is happy with his dealer

And so it continues, a nasty rattle from the top left side of the engine, which I and my friendly mechanic suspect it's the timing chain so off it went to the dealers on a flat bed.

One saving grace is that it isn't the car we're taking to Holland this weekend!
Hopefully it's will all be fixed for when I get back next week

And in limp mode again! I suspect it's another coil pack

Let's see how far I can push this warranty

So apparently not any further!

City Peugeot is going into administration and my "warranty" was apparently a pot of cash held by the City holdings group which was used for repairs which no longer exists

So had to get my car taken to another local Peugeot franchise which can't look at my car for about 2 weeks... And no courtesy car... So I'm having a fantastic day!

Contact Peugeot UK HQ and let them know what you are going through. Also let them know you were supposed to be taking that car to Europe!

I've actually emailed the MD as I haven't been able to get a straight answer as to where I stand.

How did you know? Me and the Mrs were supposed to be in France right now but work commitments put a stop to that :x
