308 GTi discontinued in UK? And suggested replacements?

In a further blow to the future of the Peugeot Sports branding, I hear from dealers that the 308 GTi has been discontinued now too. The only vaguely pokey model is the 308 Allure GT. Such a shame! I’ve still got my (low mileage, full Peugeot Service History, including additional plug and oil changes just in case, new brake callipers, disks and pads and latest HPFP!) RCZ R but I was hoping to get a new 308 GTi and garage the RCZ R. I know second hand GTIs are available but I’d rather have something that I know how it’s been driven from new. Any suggestions on other vehicles to go for now? I’ve been a Peugeot customer since having a 304S in the early 1980s!

Seen a few brand new ones still available at a few main dealers for £22/23k on autotrader.
It’s such a shame every time Peugeot makes a good car it gets axed early.
