In my quest to find a RCZ to potentially be a donor for parts , I stumbled across a 1.6 GT 200 wearing 255 40 r 19s on standard RCZ wheels as opposed to 235 40 r 19s fitted to my 1.6 GT 156. Is the 255 tyre suitable for the RCZ, looks like its been running on them ok. There dont appear to be any spacers or any other change in play. Anyone else running on 255s?

Apparently you can but I never heard of them going on standard Factory wheels one thing to watch for is teh full lock as wider tyres can chaff the wheel arch liners etc

would love some 45s on the oe 19"....
Just dont know if all they would need is thin spacers, or inner wing mods too? - Looking for more pothole protection whilst keeping 19"

The car wearing the 255s does clear - its mm clearance at best as you apply lock on level. I cant see that the tyre wouldnt be fouling the front section of the inner arch of each front wheel as the wheel moves up and down though. Really needs switching to 40 or 45 profile.... It must have done 5- 10 k miles like this given the wear on the tyres..
