I had a RCZ follow me the other day for approx. 15miles. I felt no inclination to acknowledge it. I would have responded to any gestures from the driver out of politeness, but I do not understand this thing about flashing lights and waving to strangers.

Its just a acknowledgement of genuine good taste and the love thing that they are driving ron  anyone with a HONDA type R did the same a blast of hazards or flash of the lights. if i like any car i give the owner the thumbs up if i can just like this chap that had a weird colour of grey new abarth punto when i past him by i respect that kinda chap and his taste in cars the same has happened to me at time but the most memorable was a porsche owner givin the hazards as he past me by in the outside lane and also i gave the thumbs up to a chap in a BRAND NEW Dark Blue Aston Martin DBS

Ron get jiggy with it sheltered life or what mate

I'm with you there Ron

When someone flashes / waves at me, I'm looking for the Scamera Van - and have my foot straight on the brake.

If I realise in time that it's just some NUT waving at me because of the car I'm driving, they get the one-fingered salute.

Get a grip people :brickwall:

I guess in the beginning when the RCZ was scarce and first showed itself, some new owners who passed each other thought they were in some sort of elite club and did the RCZ salute , but now that the RCZ is as common as bacon & eggs it all seems a bit silly. The RCZ really is just another car on the road.
Like Gorwell I'm not used to other drivers waving politely at me so I always go in defence mode when I see a hand in the upright position and give the finger just in case
Must be a Swansea thing :D
Bikers do the same thing and give a nod at each other, I could never understand that either, for years I thought all the other bikers coming towards me suffered with Ticks
