:wave: Hi all, I've been a RCZ owner for exactly one year now! during this time I have visited this forum on a regular basis and have found it to be invaluable for advice and opinions on various RCZ related issues, I will now tell you my RCZ story over the last 12 months and my conclusions with pros, and cons. I'll attempt to keep it as brief as possible so as not to bore you all. :sleeping-yellow:
Here goes!
My love for the RCZ started in March 2013 when out looking for 308cc, my wife noticed an RCZ that was also on display and whilst peering through it's window she said "Now This Is Nice!" and "so is the price" was my reply, move on! the only trouble was it kept drawing me over, my head had now been turned and there was no going back to the 308cc, it would mean waiting longer but it'll be worth it!
The first RCZ we saw:
Five months later I noticed Avis had the RCZ for hire as part of their Prestige range, I rented a 200GT for four days and we travelled down to Devon attempting to get maximum usage and familiarisation, the trip pretty much sealed our desire to purchase one but this was still looking 12 months away.
I didn't want to give it back to Avis!.
The RCZ we hired:
From this time on I did more research on the various models and specifications the RCZ had to offer, then in January 2014 she appeared! right model, spec, colour and price, problem was this was 7 months earlier than we had planned! my wife looked at me said "If That's The One Get it!" I didn't need to think twice, and we purchased it in February 2014.
During the last 12 months I have had (along with most of you) the coolant sensor replaced and
a rear boot switch failure resulting in the whole bumper being replaced(under warranty).
I have amongst other things had the wheel alignment done. Changed the air filter to a K&N. Replaced the plugs to Iridium Plus. Had the air con recharged. Replaced the gear knob to the RCZ R type (black).
I've just extended the warranty for another year and the first MOT is due along with a interim service this March.

My pro's/con's and observations are -
Con's-
My RCZ has always tended to slightly pull to the left, I did have the tracking done and have noticed an improvement.
As others have said 1st and 2nd gears can be difficult to engage when cold.
Engine can sound quite noisy especially when cold (I had peugeot check it they said it wasn't bad enough to change the timing chain, they will look again if it gets noisier!)
You feel every bump in the road (glides on smooth roads though)
Economy mode!
When the door windows have iced up and need to drop down to gain access!
Pro's -
Found the fuel consumption to be very reasonable.
Very fast when needed!
Styling
Directional Lights
Spacious Boot
Heating and Air-con very good
Heated Seats (bonus)
JBL NG4 sound system (hard disc very handy)
Big smile on face when driving and when not driving!
Observations -
If anybody has changed their interior/number plate bulbs to T10 W5W 501 led's have they had them heat weld to the metal bulb contacts? bugger to prise them off!
Peugeot dealers can be hit or miss( I know most car dealers are likewise)
As someone remarked the RCZ picks you!
Conclusion -
I have a great Wife and it's the best car I've ever owned!
