does the diesel variant make any concessions to ride comfort?

'every little helps' - I also would prefer a more modest width on this car :) - Tyre brand must be researched at time of purchasing tyres

My tyre research to help provide a supple ride in the less frantic HDi J Standard tyre size for 2011 Peugeot RCZ 2.0 HDi FAP 163: Rim size (in): 18 Tyre width (mm): 235 Tyre sidewall factor: 45 Total wheel diameter (mm / in): 669 / 26.3 Alternative tyre size for 2011...

a true 4 sec 60, one up :) 15" wheels, 215 front tyres, higher profile - Remember the remarkable Elan had 155 tall profile tyres and was heralded as one of the best at cornering - its not all about ultra low wide tyres and stiff springs

I have the Griff for a little more drama!...When I can afford to recommission..

indeed, much larger than on my Griff, - so, considering trading some of the popular modern 'stance' for traditional comfort Personally, I would go for narrower 55s by choice on the RC as a daily driver for back roads - has anyone checked clearances for narrower higher profile tyres on the 18s...

does the diesel variant make any concessions to ride comfort?

I agree speed helps disguise the crashy ride by transitioning holes and bumps in shorter time for suspension to deflect, however if TVR & Lotus can cope, then surely its only a matter of fine tuning to resolve - starting with reducing wheel diameter to minimum and sidewalls to max?

does the diesel variant make any concessions to ride comfort?

not the only person thinking the ride is hard https://www.peugeotrczforum.com/threads/softer-suspension.10453/ and others Too many manufacturers are using unnecessarily low profile tyres and large diameter wheels simply for 'stance' - Even Range Rover!!! IMHO they belong on hypercars, not...

    Hard suspension

I would choose to lower pressures for comfort on higher profile only

New here guys, so no piling on top for offbeat tastes ;) You will see in a couple of other threads I am looking to tame the severely crashy ride due to health and age and not convinced the 200Gt set up cant be radically improved (comfort wise) for everyday use. Willing to compromise ride...

does the diesel variant make any concessions to ride comfort?

It may appear that a sporting car is severely compromised by nature, but not necessarily so. Lotus is a prime example of comfortable whilst retaining a comfortable ride. Even my TVR Griffith (which is ultra low with short suspension travel and a V8 over front axle) does not suffer from the...

    EV cars

no excuse for over 300bhp/ton on public roads, where inexpert drivers abound... doubling the weight also exponentially increases destructive power in a collision sooo, to answer original question... No point!

    Hard suspension

did u get any helpful advice / find a way to improve rock hard ride for general daily driving?

does the diesel variant make any concessions to ride comfort?

Personally, I find the higher powered (not R) variant, bone shatteringly hard and would prefer a softer riding solution for daily driving. Pleeeese, no lectures on it being a 'sports car, what do u expect' For ME to enjoy this as a daily it needs to b a lot softer than the petrol GT Soooo...
