    Newbie looking for an R

The R is a different prospect to all the other Zs. You’ll need pretty deep pockets at times with those if you want to keep them going. I was in the Lancia motor club for several years in the late 90s and much of the chat was around the place ntegrale. I had use isn’t one in the mid 90s for about...

    19s ?

I’m waiting by let thee tree get too worn on mine before I change them so I’ll be able to compare. But TBH although these are budget jobs with about 6k on them they are feeling decent. I definitely do watch what I’m doing when it’s wet all the same. I’ve had the car kick out a few times and...

    OCD getting into your car

I wear desert boots most of the time. They are good for a bit of heel toe as the soles don’t slip. I did attempt to drive it in a pair of Chelsea boots that have leather soles, on a wet day. That wasn’t so good 😐

    19s ?

That seems to be the one. What tyres came on the car from new?

    19s ?

I normally do put decent tyres on my cars. Mostly because they do last longer. the ones currently on my Z are pretty good as far as dry grip goes. Not so good in the wet. When they wear I’ll replace with Michelin or Continental and see what difference I can tell

    19s ?

The way some folk go on as if they are the main man in a race team. It’s probably quite hard to buy really duff tyres for 19” rims anyway. As long as there’s tread on them and they aren’t wearing out all wonky most folk will cut about oblivious.

    19s ?

My Z had Accelera on them when I got it. As they were brand new I wasn’t going to change them. They are very good in the dry but I do feel they are quite skittish in wet. I definitely drive to the conditions more with these. When they wear down I’m not sure yet whether to stick with them or buy...

    Which gearbox oil

I’ve ordered some Total 75/80 which I’m led to believe is the right oil for the gearbox. (THP200) unfortunately I ordered from Autodoc and they take ages to deliver and I’m sticking the car in tomorrow. I’d like to get the gearbox oil changed when it’s there so is there an alternative I can use...

    What would you do?

They had some wild seat colours. Burnt orange. Lime green. Electric blue 😂 the 70s…

    What would you do?

Not my car. Buy the same interior and colour. Marrone Parioli 😁

    What would you do?

I absolutely love that brown colour. I had a Lancia beta coupe in brown with mustard yellow seats and it was awesome. It changed colour in various light conditions. It was reddish brown in sun. I got that car when it was 20 years old with 5000 miles on the clock and always garaged. It was a minter.

    Engine hose upgrades

My OCD meant I had to have a matching set. Not that the lower pipes are hugely visible. you’ll really notice the red one though I got him to fit the oil feed pipe line I got elsewhere too. None of it made any actual difference as far as performance goes but I know it will help longer term...

    Engine hose upgrades

Not really to be honest. Mine was going well beforehand anyway. It does look nicer under the bonnet though. There’s maybe a slight performance uplift but without knowing what the figures were before and after I certainly can’t tell. I had no issues prior though. Shouldn’t get any cracks or...

    Engine hose upgrades

I went with Forge ones just to eliminate any potential problems nothing to do with performance gains. If there’s any then I haven’t noticed. You’d probably need to fit stuff like those as part of any messing about with power increases but that’s not why I did it. I stick a K&N filter in too...

open to considering the RC HDi as a daily driver (frightened of the 'Prince' of Darkness that lurks within the ICE!)

I had an integrale back in the day. That felt like it was on wooden wheels until you opened it up and let it gallop. It was all about the cornering. The Z 200 I’ve got is quite similar from that point of view. Nowhere close in ability of course but “similar”. If have a downhill stretch of road...

Quite a lot more drama I would think. I have been out in one before. Rapid.

most hot hatches I’ve ever been in aren’t exactly magic carpet rides and the Z is the same really. They corner like it does mean the suspension is going to be stiffer than most. I’m not sure I’d like to drive one that. But if you just want the looks and a bit more of a soft drive then you...

My mate has a Morgan. And has his chiropractor on speed dial 😂 it honestly feels like there’s no suspension at all round town.
