I would strongly advise against machine car washes. You should also be very careful with roadside hand washes. There have been numerous posts on here about damage caused using that method.

You could use a stripping shampoo such as G3, but the cutting compound should strip it eventually anyway.

If you have access to a D.A. it would help. DA combined with cutting compound would give good results much quicker.

There are sometimes the odd one or two breaking on EBay. Worth a check.

I’ve had my 200GT for almost 10 years now. No major issues other than the usual HPFP & coil packs. I did have a complete clutch assembly done under warranty, but for the last 7 years, no problems at all. Fantastic car.
