I was feeling quite smug when I had only 6000 on the clock, but now after the 10 days I did on the Austrian trip - I've got 9500 miles.... It's that psychological feeling when it clocks 10k, just doesn't seem new anymore :roll:

I would tend to agree Ian, I thought the same and I am sure there were signs of peeling or fatigue which led me to think they had a film on top. And I do believe they are aluminium. Quiet surprised at how much someone said they are to replace, so not sure that I would attempt to remove the film...

Thanks for the info and posts RCZ-R. I'll check em out. But I have told the garage to do the pads as well as the discs, this way I know alls good for another couple of years or more. Plus I've asked for my part warn pads, so I will check those out and post pic / part numbers etc. Work getting...
