The wheel wobble you refer to is it a vibration your feeling through the steering wheel or is the car interior vibrating? If your feeling the vibration through the steering wheel and you e had the wheels balanced then it most likely is the front discs if it's the interior that is vibrating it...

Just as others have said it's the timing chain/tensioner/guides there are new revised kits available to replace the originals but it's a specialist job that either Peugeot or a mini/BMW specialist should be entrusted with cost should be between £500-£600 all in if you have to foot the bill...
