Must admit, I hadn't read the first post by Sarah properly. I didn't realise she didn't have the car yet. I wondered how she could have missed the USB socket, & not having that model myself, I did wonder if perhaps it didn't have one, but a bit of research indicated that there is in fact a USB...
Oh! That's stuffed that idea then. It's clearly something else & it seems to be getting more frequent & louder, had a group of people looking at me when I set off from a junction today, but for ALL the wrong reasons. Embarrassing
So, my insurance is up for renewal in 2 weeks. I have had no claims, nothing has changed, yet my renewal quote has rocketed up to £286 :wtf:   :helpme:
I tried all the comparison sites and got it down to £224 on money supermarket (they were a bit cheaper than...
Maps & alert zones have been updated, firmware is already latest. I suppose it might have been the maps or speed cam updates, but it its odd that it didn't do it straight after the update, which was a few weeks previous.
It's going in in a couple of weeks anyway, so I'll keep an eye on it til...
I know it's the wrong end of the country, but it would still be cheaper to drive up & back & even stay over - Tony Banks, Leeds, quad rear system, £399 fitted, choice of tips & choice of note ( e.g. Quiet, normal, sporty). Can be booked via EBay I think.
I have seen his work at the meets & it...
I must admit, I have had my 200 for 2 years now, and it still never fails to surprise me every time I floor it, especially if your in 4th, 5th, or 6th & going uphill !! :eusa-whistle:
I'm sure someone on here will fancy that little bit more though. Good luck
It had long been my intention to look for an R when the time comes, but with pressure mounting from my OH & a continuing concern regarding recurring regular issues with Pug CS, we have recently been looking at Mercedes SLC. Who knows, I don't intend changing anytime soon anyway (but of course...
:greetings-wavingblue: Welcome :text-welcomewave:
Hi Sarah, any warranty is better than none, but aI have no knowledge of Palmers warranty. They are generally all very similar, but it might be a good idea to familiarise yourself with the exclusions, as this might include some of the more...
I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I don't have the time to search right now. Check that you will have the correct clearance on your calipers with 18" wheels. It's Just a thought, but it might be fine, I don't know. :eusa-think:
Depends on the model/spec of your Z I believe, as to...
I haven't heard anywhere that the eco mode threshold is adjustable. I think it is a set level fixed in the ecu software.
You could try asking at your local main stealers, but they probably won't know what eco mode is :wtf:
I'd thought about that, but as it's all working ok again, I wouldn't know if it had done anything or not
In the past, sometimes when I've started the car, the screen opens & starts up almost instantly. Other times, it can take 30 seconds or so, maybe even a bit more.
It has never...
Yeah, cheers Chris, that's what I thought.
I have already mentioned a couple of minor issues, just in case they develop, so I think it's worth telling them about this too.
Really odd events though, and seemingly not related to each other. Very strange. :eusa-think:
So, a couple of days ago, started the car as normal, nav screen rolled open, displayed phone contacts synchro message as normal, but then, message came up saying phone call was in progress.
I couldn't get the message to go, even turned my phone off & back on, so I had to turn the car off & back...
Any "fault" message which is recorded in the log is not normal. Something is causing the car to detect a fault, albeit briefly. A diagnostic check should reveal the cause, but of course Pug dealers charge for this service, and then offset the cost from any work found necessary.
Speak to the...
Topaz polish is pretty good at removing marks from black areas ( I use it on my arches, diffuser, etc etc) I have a phase 2 so no black section on the badge, but it's worth a try :eusa-think:
