Are the tyres OK? Low pressure can cause heavy steering. Have you checked the power steering fluid level? If all is ok, could be a failing PS pump.

I used to have a similar problem with a slight shake @ 80 mph, up to that & over it was fine, New tyres on the front sorted that out :thumbup:

As for the insect problem if you give the front end (better still the entire car) a good coating of polish, followed by a couple of coats of a quality wax, the insects will wash off much easier. :thumbup:

I have found Rain X to be effective, but you do have to be doing over 30mph for it to work, and the heavier the rain the better the effect. It doesn’t really work in light rain. I use 2 coats on the screen and 1 coat on all the other glass, including the headlights.

I was in London over the weekend. I only saw 1 Z, and that was only briefly, it was blue & I think a Mk1. I was in Wakefield today & saw 3. Two black Mk1’s & a white Mk2.

I thought I’d read that 19” fitted in the wheel well, could be wrong though. You could always take one off & try dropping it in to see if it fits :eusa-think:
