Re: RCZ-R limp home mode.
Whatever it turns out to be Chris, it should be covered by the extended warranty. If you have already had the hpfp replaced, coils are probably next on the list of usual suspects.
Does the car run ok? What is the year, mileage & variant of the car?
Other common faults are HP fuel pump & coil packs, but these generally show themselves with the car not running properly.
I don’t have a reader so I am not familiar with that fault code.
I would think someone else on here...
Update.
Car still smelly, but, it is definitely getting weaker.
OH says she can’t smell it now, but it is still there, just not as strong, so not bothering to take it in for a ridiculous amount to tell me they don’t know what it is, but it’s nothing to do with them.
It will remain an unsolved...
I think it is more noticeable when you first enter the car, thinking about it.
I can’t think what it could be in the cabin though, I have not had anything in there since the service, and I wouldn’t have thought they needed to do anything inside the car at all :eusa-think:
The bottle of...
Btw, I took it out this afternoon, still smells terrible.
The thing is, I came across a lot of burning items during my 22 years in the Fire Service, & I remember most of the odours, especially at car fires, oil, petrol, tyres, plastics, etc etc and I can’t say as I recognise this smell at all...
I didn’t even know there were different pollen filters until I read your earlier post, let alone that I could have requested which type I got.
It will probably turn out to be nothing to do with that at all, & once I take the fish out of the air filter box, I’m sure it will be fine :eusa-think:
It’s really a strange one. It’s a very unpleasant smell, and I can’t really find out where it’s coming from. I am just linking the pollen filter to the smell as that’s the only thing that’s changed that I can think of that could be the cause.
So yesterday, I emptied a full bottle of Fabreeze...
The black arches are a type of plastic, I found that out when mine were removed by the C.I.D., sorry, I meant the window fitter. I did wrap my key fob, which is plastic, so I know it can be done, but over the years it started chipping away, so I peeled it off.
I doubt that arches would take the...
I have no idea Chris, that’s the thing with having the service plan, when they say they are going to do something that’s not going to cost you anything, you tend to just say ok. I did have an engine flush that cost @ £30 discounted price, I thought it wasn’t a bad idea as it hadn’t had one from...
So, the car went in for it’s service & mot & passed with flying colours.
They put a new pollen filter in as part of the service.
When I picked it up it was fine, but when I got in it the following morning (this morning) there was a funny smell in the car, in fact it was quite unpleasant...
Hmm, that’s about as bad as I’ve seen. It’s still worth having a look at something like Topaz with a brush to see what improvement, if any, can be made, but to be honest, I doubt you will get those back looking like new :eusa-think:
Maybe someone who has used plastidip could advise if that...
You could try Topaz polish by Autosmart. If you use a soft nail brush to get into the grain, and even a soft shoe brush to bring the polish back out, finish with a soft microfibre cloth and the discolouration should go.
A lot cheaper than trying to wrap them.

You don’t have to strictly stick to every part of the list, you can cherry pick the bits you fancy tackling, but if you go for it, you will be soooo impressed with the results....
It’s not my cup of tea, but I can se how it would go on yours with the wrap & plate, although maybe a big brown bear would have been slightly more appropriate.
It does look kind of cool & I like how it’s transparent from the inside & slightly from the outside at night
I found this on a generic website, not Peugeot specific:-
The anti-pinch feature is controlled by a small module which is now often integrated into the power window switches on the driver’s door. If the vehicle loses battery power or the power windows require a repair, the power windows will...
