No sure how much it would stand out but Maybe a black line, i think it would tie in with your roof bars and alloys easy to remove if you don't like it though .
Not 100% sure yet, would like some feedback, just thought it would tie in the red line around my GT badge, I'm always looking for some new (not as new as i thought) ideas.

I'm thinking of getting or doing myself the aluminium roof bars coverd in carbon look vynal is this a job somebody has attempted them self, or is it best to get a professional for best results, ive had a little experience wrapping interior trim bits but nothing as large as the roof bars, any...
As long as they are decals and not painted on you shouldn't have to much of a problem, just use a hair dryer or a heat gun to soften the backing and get yourself some glue or tar remover Incase you have some residue left on your paint work . Very nice car good luck .
