I would not bend it. It's a brittle alloy and will snap/crack I reckon. Padded out with black gorilla tape etc looks ok you can't tell unless you get real close. If you try and ram it on the metal will damage the paint given the bend of the bonnet and badge recess area.

OE Badge on front of MKII has two offset pins that go into holes. The metal badge fits to cover the holes so position is governed by this. Only issue I had was that the rear boot lid is curved as is the OE rear lion badge, didnt realise that and the new logo badge is not. I padded out the curve...

I have used Victor Reinz MLS kits for my F and TF.....I definitely think paying for a decent make/genuine is worth the extra for HG kits.

Can't help! Pre cat regulates air/fuel so yeh. I have used Lambda's from NGK, Bosch and recently two for a TF from a 'well reviewed' on eBay that have worked a treat.
