I bet he never stopped as would have been unaware of what happened.. Years ago I was in my Ford escort sat waiting to turn right and a lorry 🚛 pulled out to the left and it's trailer back end hit me from the back pushing the car into the road and had two young kids in the back and he didn't know...

I am sure this has been reported on the forum before and if I remember it was down to high pressure fuel pump. But not 100%I am sure someone will be willing to help you out here...

What colour is your RCZ and is it a MK2 or mk1 as there's always a scrap yard that might be a good bet..

Could be also possible for the sun's been on it and the temperatures we have been having could have made the glue a bit soft and covering come away as it's stretch into place... I always cover mine in hot days
