I have not had this issue myself but surely it must be a connection between radio and screen that is at fault here if you can still use functions but not actually see what you're doing? Do you have the pop up screen by the way as I know there is a common fault where a cable gets trapped...

Sorry if that came across as me being arsey by the way. Not my intention at all. It's just it's a bit of a re-occurring theme/running joke that new members always have issues uploading pics because the forum only allows images under 256k in size for some reason (rather than any size auto scaled...

What about the features that were accessed though the factory head unit (setting clock, etc.)?

I would say that is almost definitely the immobiliser activated because the battery was disconnected. If BSI reset doesn't sort it though somebody disconnecting the front battery terminal then reconnecting it again whilst a helper turns key to start car before immobiliser kicks in should work...

I did a lot of research on this very subject when I got my R wheels and £100 a wheel for diamond cut refurb is about the going rate (actually got some quotes at nearly twice that!) so if you trust him (i.e. seen his previous work on website, etc.) £384 for 4 ain't bad. :thumbup: Alternatively...

Well that is accurate as the whole point of the Connects2 lead is to keep the existing functions that were accessed through the original stereo by moving them to the steering wheel stalk, and that does work correctly for me. However, my stereo also gives you the option to code whatever buttons...
