If you are going to all this trouble then why not get the ecu remapped?
Super chips for example would have copied to store someone's original configuration in case the wanted to return back to spec.

Dealers have been known to not tell the whole truth.
The warranty would be for mechanical and electrical!
This would not cover things like dashboard splitting, headlining sagging etc.
So they are correct in that it wouldn't cover any fabric problems but the mechanical side should have been...
Can you take a picture of where the broken piece should be the someone can post a similar picture of how it should be.
It might just clip back in!

If you go for the extra breakdown cover it's worth paying an extra £20 for non mechanical breakdowns as well as this includes punctures.

First find out what version firmware you have.
Mine (a 2013) was at 2.75 which only gave 5 digit postcodes.
I upgraded to 2.80 and the 2014 maps to get 7 digit postcodes.
Then updated firmware to 2.86 and also to latest maps using the deactivation sequence.
I think other haven't been able...
