Not trying to hijack the thread but you guys have any recommendations for the battery? Mine is at the end of its life with its "Economy Mode Active" almost everytime.
Yeah, thought so. I fixed it temporarily with some door foam seal so it does not look horrifying. Imho, the current status is not that bad that it would warrant removing the whole dashboard.
Does anyone know the fix? Mine started bubbling a lot during these severe heat days. Bought a sunshade now, but a lot of bubbles formed. It went from 0 bubbles to 10 bubbles in 4 weeks. They are hard to spot thats why I only noticed them now. Couple of them started on the far edge next to the...
Might as well jump in here, not opening the new topic.
Does anyone maybe have any CAD or technical drawings for wheel spacers? I tried looking online but could not find any.
I have a neighbour that does this kind of metalwork and he can do it for me for fraction of the price and I'll at least...
Since my car is going to hit 120k km soon, I'm going to do a big service this summer.
Should I replace the timing chain and the tensioner just in case due to its age (there is currently no rattle)? There are no problems with the car at the moment - want to keep it that way :D
My plan currently...
I'm from Slovenia, had our version of MOT done in April. The last owner registration did run out, so I had to do the MOT before I could register the car under my name. It was faultless so, fingers crossed it will be the same next year :D The guy doing the inspection said that for its age (car...
That is good to know. I just refilled my washer fluid with something that goes to -35C so I think I’ll be fine. I have it now for about 6k km, and the only issue I has was a burnt out ignition coil. 20€ and a quick fix was all I needed to get it going back.
I dont know about extreme cold, since I bought my RCZ in April this year :D Will learn it the hard way next winter :D Hopefully it goes well, since I park my car out on the street.
So, I bought an aftermarket alloy gear knob. Its perfect, amazing feeling in hands when driving, seems smaller and shorter than original.
One thing - during summer, beware of leaving your car outside in the heat. I almost cooked my hand on it. I had the car parked outside at work, the gear knob...
As per recommendation here, I'll try next service interval with 0w30 and compare the performance then.
P.S. Nice to see another RCZ owner from Slovenia.
Not necessarily. Lots have to do with driving style and also the maker of the oil. Some THP engines love some xyz motor oil and wont burn anything away. Nothing is wrong with THP engines using oil (mine uses around 1l every 5k km).
I hate the high clutching point, but I think there is no way to adjust it.
Here is an older thread.

I cannot seem to find Total Ineo 0w-30 on the official Total Data Sheet: OUR FULLY SYNTHETIC RANGE
In the 0w30/0w40 I can only find Total Quartz 9000 Energy.
Also, are there any issues if I change it from 5W30 to 0W30 during regular maintenance? I know that some % of old oil remains in the car...
