Re: My new RCZ
Ok, so the coolant leak seems to no longer be as minor. Had it looked at this morning and it seems to be the thermostat housing. Hoping they're not too expensive from Peugeot. I'll have to get it sorted first thing Monday now.
Thanks for the advice mate. I'll likely just replace the front speakers for now, but if I do replace the rears I'll keep you in mind.
Ok, I'll look into the sound deadening a bit further when I do the swap.
Yes it's frustrating that the tweeters are amped separately as it makes it difficult...
Thanks for that mate, some useful pics. I did a search and read through all of the threads, but that one didn't show up.
Unfortunately it's my tweeters that are buggered, rather than vibration causing distortion. Might consider installing some dynamat when I replace the speakers though.
Afternoon all,
My car has the upgraded JBL system and the front speakers (tweeters mostly) have had enough and distort at medium to high volume levels.
I'm looking to get a set of quality focal or JBL splits to replace them. Is anyone possibly able to confirm how much room there is for the...
Re: My new RCZ
Haha, that's what I originally thought too. Think I'll still give the Copper Metalizer a go given I've already bought the cans. Maybe I'll just do one side to start with.
Re: My new RCZ
I had thought about removing the headlights and painting the internals black (just leaving the silver rings around the dipped and main beam) but don't know if I will. They actually look better than I anticipated with the all black. Might consider it down the track.
Re: My new RCZ
Took another pic this morning. The black on black is really growing on me. I'll give it another couple of weeks before deciding whether to spray the wheels a different colour.
Re: My new RCZ
They seem to be about $400 (AUD) from Eibach. You can pick them up cheaper online, but Eibach have a set in Australia so it saves the wait.
Haha, yes I thought your handle was familiar also!
Re: My new RCZ
Thanks guys.
Yes, I saw that H&R also do springs with the exact same drop as the Eibach too. Given the drop is identical I thought I'd go for Eibach as I had. H&R in my GTI180 and they were way to harsh for street driving. The Eibach springs I've had in many of my cars have...
Re: My new RCZ
Thanks mate. Unfortunately I don't have a direct comparison (only test driven a couple with 19s over the years), but it's definitely not bone jarring or anything. Slightly rougher than the one I drove most recently over corrugated bumps, but the overall ride is not overly...
Evening all,
I thought I'd introduce myself briefly and share some pics of my new RCZ.
I'm a born and bred Peugeot fanatic, growing up with them and having owned the following throughout my driving life: 505 GR, 405 MI16, 306 GTI6, 406 Coupe (manual), 205 GTI6 (engine conversion), Lotus Elise...
Thanks guys, pending an inspection tomorrow I think I've pretty much bought a car with the Xenons and JBL system.
Appreciate all of your advice and assistance.
Cheers
Ben
