just my thoughts obviously, you may well find a 200bhp rcz for £4000 ish with most of the boxes ticked, an R however for £7500 won’t fit your criteria at all, my R has 78k and is worth upwards of £7500. Also surely most of rcz’s will have had the timing chain replaced by now, some will be due a...
Kenneth, my R has xenon headlights with I think its called adaptive cornering, if you rock the steering whilst driving slowly the light beam moves left and right, total waste of time to be honest but that’s why they may be expensive
I have to admit, those prices for parts are truly ridiculous, that must mean a little bump on the front corner would be classed as a insurance write off if the head lights are £2400 each!
My R has just flown through another mot but it has made me think about keeping it, in contrast I’ve just...
For all the negatives, that’s why I like my R, it’s a rare car, I’ve never seen another R on the road, cheap tax, good on fuel, good on insurance and it looks understated, I agree parts will become harder to source but that’s the same with any rcz.
if anyone is thinking of taking the plunge on...
I’ve fitted many Of these thermostat housings on various prince engines and never noticed any rattling, would assume its coming from the thermostat itself, I wouldn’t fit it, can you exchange for another one, I wouldn’t fit it, personally I would only fit a branded one and not a cheap one
Hi mate, if the faults are moving when you change the coils round it may be a coil issue, first thing I would do is remove the cheap coils and bin them, it could be the start of a hpfp issue
It’s usually the valve guide stem seals that cause a puff of blue smoke while idling in traffic, if You can live with it just keep an eye on the oil level and top up as required,
I’ve changed the valve stem seals without removing the cylinder head if you are mechanically minded, you will need...
hi, it’s the same timing process, ive done many timing chains on the prince engine ranging from 75bhp upto 208bhp and they require the same timing tools, hope that helps
From memory it went for £3.600, as it went up for sale the next day or the day after following the auction ended I’m sure it was fully prepared and all faults rectified before sale, Not!
Totally agree with the comment, I watched it go through the auctions yesterday and today it’s up for sale, I quite fancied it for spare parts, its got money pit written all over it!
