My plan is not to replace the plugs and coils yet and if the codes come back then likely to get the HPFP refurbished first before replacing plugs and coil packs.
Moved the coil packs and problem didn't move. Coil packs are Delphi which I assumed are original as noticed a lot of parts are Delphis. I then decided to clear the faults and took it for a drive and the problem has not come back.
I have ordered new plugs and coil packs are likely to replace...
As you mentioned Pedro I will start with coil pack and plugs and then if I get the classic P0087 then might go down the refurb route as someone people have done that and seem to be very happy with it. I am expecting that I may have to replace or refurb HPFP at some point.
Thanks Pedro, will try moving the coil pack to see if the error code moves as well. If I remember correctly you recommend NGK coil pack don't you? Will look for NGK plugs as well. Just need to figure out the gap for a THP200, I think it's 7 or 8mm from memory.
First EML for me and limp mode all the way home.
Must be a coincidence but I filled her up with V Power and a not long after, EML came on and I lost power.
Stopped and fan was going crazy for 5-10 minutes.
I thought I had mistakenly put E10 rather than E5 V power but I was sure it was V...
Seen another been added on Autotrader by a dealer, no photos yet but it's black and 85k miles for £13,499. I wonder if it's the private one which was being advertised for £11k a few weeks ago.
Don't think you will have an issue selling it for around that price for an immaculate one as I am sure in current market you could get more than that.
Let me as well when you do sell as would be keen to check it out.
A number of people have used the guy & very happy. I assumed you are referring to this one Peugeot 207/208 GTi RCZ Citroen DS3/4 Mini cooper 1.6THP HPFP service and repair | eBay
Re battery removal, I find this video useful
Steven Tan from Malaysia manufacture R spoiler & diffuser. Have a look at his post on RCZ Facebook group. He used to post it on the RCZ wanted & for sale group but I can't see it anymore so best to contact him directly.
Rocker cover for THP200 is a little harder to get. Just noticed you are located in NZ so might add to the challenge as can't imagine many RCZ there. I have a THP 200 & the Rocker cover cost me £80 & labour was an hour at £90 I think. Still an option to buy the cover from abroad. Rocker cover for...
Are you after the rocker cover? It's one of the more common issues with all RCZs. You are correct the rocker cover is the same for THP200 and RCZ R.
If you are after a rocker cover, this one will fit. I waited a long time before finding one.
Both from the same place...
I do wonder how much the dealer paid for it. Guessing it may need new front discs and at 166k miles could potentially do with suspension refreshed, etc. The one for £11k could be good value if all the recent work checked out.
I should really test drive one as I keep thinking may be I should...
Assuming you can still diamond cut the wheels a place near me do them for £95+VAT/wheel incl fitting and balancing or £55+VAT for powder coating.
Did you see the black one on FB group wanted and for sale page? 15 plate, 36,003 miles with transferrable Peugeot warranty for £16k?
