    Newbie looking for an R

Read this from an Australian 208GTi 270 forum: "FWIW, I’ve not seen this issue raised by any Australian members...and especially by any that live in Australia’s hot, dry inland. [emoji6] The problem is a product of humidity, and constant damp roads that are gritted and salted in winter months...

    Newbie looking for an R

I had my calipers and discs replaced on my car before my ownership but they have been on there at least 6 years, there is no 'visible' corrosion on the pistons and no issues with the inner disc surface or front brake issues; as confirmed by MD, local Tech and MoTs......using the car year round...

Huge fall in used car prices around 11% on avg..... in the last quarter of 2023 alone, apparently; thankfully I don't own a Porsche Taycan with the 00s listed on AT with their prices through the floor. In an ideal world come the Spring......Garage Queen R's will still hold/retain the top value...

    Air Filter on the R

https://www.peugeotrczforum.com/threads/rcz-r-air-filters-replacement-for-peugeot-standard-one.11047/#post-130163 I stuck a Pipercross in mine, not sure it made much difference tbh, some say they give circa 2-5bhp for some cars etc, spool up/engine maybe a tad smoother....or it was just...

    Newbie looking for an R

There are plenty of parts that are bespoke to the R from those that are engine related, to the suspension, brakes, interior and wheels etc. I would go nowhere near an 'unkown' trade R @88K mile for £10K without a Peugeot Warranty (not a third party one as they are shite) though those cars...

Pink dust on the R engine

Yep the fibre type coating is on inside of heatshield and breaks down over time....it offers heat insulation. Turbo Heatshield is f all to do with protecting hands or minimising burns....it keeps the heat in the turbine and prevents this higher temperature from soaking into the surrounding area...

Pink dust on the R engine

Looking at some posts some say the 'blanket' is more effective than a heatshield for preventing the heat around the engine bay leading to the demise of plastic pipes/hoses, loss of power, intake temps etc especially when tuning a turbo car and producing more heat......guessing the blanket is not...

I believe you can, increases, the sound of the engine, and exhaust to max, I was trying and came accross something, on my menu to activate or deavact

I don't think you can it is not electronic aided it is a piped system into the cabin with no regulation or alteration to noise levels; only increase is from physical changes to the car, mid-pipe box removal, new exhaust back box, panel filter (maybe) etc.

    Not for Boys

Slightly OT but I was looking at a Lotus Evora 3.5 V6 similar bhp to the R; did a versus for a stat comparison and it really shows where in my view the R as a sports car holds it's own and makes it such good fun, the 'in-gear' response/acceleration/performance, very similar times round the...

    Fault Code P0A1A

Goes along with my post and the one I found when searching that the RCZ will only work with certain makes/OE......which is a new one on me. https://www.peugeotrczforum.com/threads/help-electric-issues.12675/ able to source the mitsubishi one? is this the one you have? .PEUGEOT RCZ 1.6 THP 156...

    Fault Code P0A1A

Read a post with someone who had issues with their new alternator it would not 'work' with their RCZ kept getting that code, looked at price of OE supplied on Peugeot Parts Direct £600 odd quid, not sure if Hitachi (post said a Hitachi one solved their issue?) or Mitsubishi are OE...

    RCZ R prices

Don't sell it now unless there is a 'need' to; wait until the Spring, get it washed and waxed. an interior valet etc, look on Autotrader see what the going rate is and pitch it at a fair price bearing in mind some of it's minus points, it will sell just not for top $. Failing that talk your...

Query ref parking up for winter

Dont start the engine unless using it to drive etc absolutely no point...probably causes much more harm than any benefit. Leave handbrake off...put a couple of Pingu's/moisture removers inside the car. Make sure you don't have mice. Depending on type of garage (heated/dry) consider a thin indoor...
