Hi have you a 200 THP ? If so normal to rattle for a bit as they have a lot of moving parts in cylinder heads ! X2 variable cams in 200.
compared to 1 variable cam on 156.

All the HPT Engines will have a rattle on start up ( worse when their cold ) so unless the Engine light comes on & won't reset I doubt it was the chain its usually the tensioner that fails first because they can go stiff as a corpse like mine did & they are attribute to some of the rattling when firing up the car

Hi Grimreaper
Thanks for your comments I have the 156 BHP engine and this rattle is inconsistent some cold starts the rattle disappears within 5 seconds or so then sometimes i have to be driving a short distance. A bit disappointing having changed the timing change and guides and on a 20,500 mile car. Any thoughts from any other RCZ owners.
