The money pit, but worth it. R

Have sorted everything with the car and got it MOT'ed again.;) Now just need time to enjoy the car as its been sat on the driveway not doing anything for the last 7 months. Maybe I should invest in a carcoon to prevent it rusting :ROFLMAO: latest issue auto lamp adjuster fault not fixed, new...

RCZ R - sell or store?

Its a upgrade cos the original are chromeplated and once the plated bit comes off they pistons seize onto the calipers , hence you will have no brakes. It started to seize on mine lucky swopped they in time else I would have to buy new calipers.

    PugFest Prescott 16 July

I missed going around the RCZ camp. Got stuck on the PSC merchandise stall all day. Good to see you again Les. Will ask about the show plates from the committee and see where they were bought from and try and get some for the RCZ's. Didnt even wash my car cos I thought it was going to be raining...

Time to rest the RCZ R.

Depends on the price really, I went with original pug parts cos it was cheaper than tarox. Fish brothers for the discs were around £700 when I bought them. The original discs have lasted for just over 60k miles on mine

    Learning to drive the R

Great handling for sure, driven at sensible speeds (within 60mph :p) overtaking everything on snake pass (road between chesterfield and A6 to Manchester) even around all the sweeping bends as you can see all the way around them. Have footage taken from my dash cam. The great tyres ensured it...

Hoping that my new skoda will arrive shortly so the R can just be my fun car . Have roughly about a month or so to go before it turns up. That will be the work horse.

Time to rest the RCZ R.

I bought the GODSPEED stainless steel pistons which are in mine now, so wont have the rust problem anymore. Didnt have them repainted though. Something I might do later dowm the line. Also bought the kevlar pads from godspeed and they seem ok so far.

Moving over to the otherside, seen a coupe !Could it be a TT?

If the right car ever turns up , will definitely buy one. Wonder if there are any original Rev5 turbos that were imported from Japan?

    HDi vs THP (200HP)

For it to last probably every 3K miles, I do mine at every 3K miles

    HDi vs THP (200HP)

Its all down to personal preference. For me niether was powerful enough and I only wanted the R. So the question is depends on your driving style and how you will use the car. Both models are reliable enough if maintained well, but you do get the occasional abused car which is expensive to sort...
