    Turbo Coolant line Torque THP156

I torqued to 35Nm from a mini torque spec website (best I could find online).

2010 THP156 Coolant Leak (Themostat & Rear Coolant Exhaust Pipe)

We’ll, I managed it, and boy it was a hell of a job. I managed to wiggle the coolant exhaust pipe through the gap at the back of the engine by twisting it 365 degrees as I fed it in, from the battery side. Connecting everything up was the difficult part and took a few attempts. Here are some...

    Turbo Coolant line Torque THP156

Does anyone know the torque spec for the coolant line (from the thermostat)? I’ve trawled the workshop manual downloaded from here but unable to find this. Please help

Water pump pulley change in situ? - 1.6 thp

I’ve just replaced the water pump in situ. It’s awkward but doable with a bit of patience

2010 THP156 Coolant Leak (Themostat & Rear Coolant Exhaust Pipe)

Thanks Pedro, I’ve managed to source an identical part to save any hassle. Should be plug and play 😃 Now I just need to figure out how I am going to get the new coolant pipe connected at the back of the engine 🤔

2010 THP156 Coolant Leak (Themostat & Rear Coolant Exhaust Pipe)

Looks like I’ve found some info. It appears the thermostat was redesigned due to various issues on other vehicles. The updated version has the relocated temp sensor and benefits from: - electronically controlled thermostat - reinforced structure - new configuration of sensors There is also an...

2010 THP156 Coolant Leak (Themostat & Rear Coolant Exhaust Pipe)

As I understand it there are a few variations of the thermostat: (A) 4 pin with integrated temp sensor (B) 2 x 2 pin with removable temp sensor I currently have the wiring for the 2 x 2 pin connectors. However having searche online I can see two slight variations of the 2 x 2 pin version B...

2010 THP156 Coolant Leak (Themostat & Rear Coolant Exhaust Pipe)

So my RCZ had developed a coolant leak that was getting worse and worse. Initial inspection showed a leak at the bottom of the engine from the gearbox. I managed to pull the themostat and could see that it had split. Decided to pull the water pump also and replace at the same time. I glad I did...

    No Turbo ?

I would check the simple things first like split hoses etc. Then as Pedro suggested in his earlier post check the diverter valve to ensure the seals inside it are ok (again simple to do on this turbo as it is held on to the turbo with 3 bolts - just be careful as the internals of the diverted...

    No Turbo ?

There may be a little play in the rod itself, what you need to check is where the arm joins with the body if the turbo, if that is moving then it will be loose and moving inside the turbo and not sealing correctly. You will have to remove the heat shield from around the turbo to access it but I...

    No Turbo ?

If the wastegate is moving on engine startup then there will not be a vacuum issue (no disconnected vacuum hoses). Might be an issue with a cracked hose from the turbo to the intercooler or from the inter cooler to the air intake so check them carefully. It could also be a loose gate inside...

    No Turbo ?

No worries, have you done all the other checks to see if your wastegate is moving back and fourth on startup etc?

    No Turbo ?

Similar issue with mine (1.6 THP 156) although when you really floored it uphill I was getting error code p0299 low boost pressure. - Checked the wastegate on the turbo on startup and it wasn’t moving. (It should move). - moved the wastegate back and forth via the rod with some pliers and it...
