that was tricky putting the new spring in, i used a 3 part set of compressing clamps, i find if they slip, to put some tape on the spring for the clamps to bite on. Got the shock reassembled, hopefully put everything back on car tommorow, but i havent been able to get the new rubber boot over...
thanks pedro, that makes sense, the clutch and brake system are connected.
Contacted a peugeot dealer, in case anyone has to replace the dust covers, they are 503370 but theres also 503371 which is the little metal dome cover that sits on top, this is a seperate part from the top mount/ shock...
many thanks pedro, just saw your email, yes, eddie said the same, i had both go within weeks or months together on another peugeot. all parts on their way for doing both sides. quality parts are so cheap to buy diy compared to garage bills. thanks again ps have you ever bled a clutch on...
thanks Eddie, just saw your pic of the 5 components, ive got the two nuts, and the concave smaller part than goes in engine bay with one of nuts, the bottom right has to be the bearing, got that ordered, and the top left is the mount that i was able to push the metal pipe out of the rubber which...

just saw your pic of dust covers, those were the closest looking ones i found as well, the shape of the bottom matches the remains of the original one, the metal dome on my shock at the top i reckon must be part of the mount not the shock absorber then. i'll have a look at one of the complete...
many thanks eddie, thats really helpful advice. im tempted to just buy a lower milleage used complete one for the time being as ive got to try to source the cover from somewhere, a used one would quickly solve that, and save compressing a new spring, ive got the 3 part compression tool, it...
second pic of stripped shock, didnt upload minutes ago, i dont know if and how i get the metal dome and dustcover seperate, and if a replacement can be bought.
hi, had a clunking noise from front only at full lock, though tthere was a bit of stiction in bearings but turns out it was a bit more than that - first pic attached. phew.. thankfully the tyre survived. Ive stripped it - second pic, shock seems fine, ordered a spring and bearing, but looks...
was fine all day yesterday, but this morning it clicked and wouldnt start, i checked the battery voltage 12.6v, put my jump starter on and didnt take any current from it, just clicked, so i undid just the plug on top of the bpga and it started. i connected it again and it started, and drove...
in case of help to anyone else if they have such a strange problem
1 - i started preparing to swap over the batterty bpga and starter but removing the airbox and sensor and disturbing the wires near the battery, and i tried it and it started after i had dosconnected the battery for a few mins...
ok, beginning to think this is the starter, as its clicking once. Ive got delivery of a decent powered jump pack, fully charged it and it still doesnt start. wondering if the economy mode is a result of the starter, and not the other way round. consensus seems to be that the economy mode...
charged both batteries, wired them together, put the battery on charge at same time to add voltage and current, it started to click twice not once when i turned the key. i think the cars computer is somehow restricting the power to the starter, and a jump pack is enough to override and start...
hi jvd, ive had same issue, pedro helpfully advised the same for me as well, ive fully charged batery in my main rcz and my spare rcz which starts fine and jump lead together but it still clicks loudly. its going into economy mode, i had this once before a year ago, someone jump packed it and...
